Akatoki! (Escude)

Um, anyone want to provide more insight into what I just posted? I really want to put any more questions I have about that to bed. If any of you have GIFT’s OST and/or just that track, I’ll appreciate a copy so I can hear the track myself. If you can’t upload it, just get me the track name and I’ll look it up myself.

Gift is a bad eroge and disappeared completely from my computer years ago. The eroge box (a large, cardboard box filled with eroge from days past) is large, deep, old, dusty and somewhere in the garage covered by other boxes. You’re a wota (otherwise you wouldn’t be here), which means you’ve got plenty of cash (eroge is the most expensive hobby after diving into swimming pools full of cash and snorting lines of gold dust off geisha) and you’re from the rich, prosperous northern nation of Canada. Can’t you just buy the DL sales version of the game yourself and save me the trouble? It’s only 3,801?, although admittedly 3,800? more than it’s actually worth, and you’re the one who wants to know so much =P I do not, from recollection, remember anything like a piano version of Wind’s Dream, but there’s so many background music tracks in eroge so it’s very possible something slipped past.

Wait , you actually buy physical eroge in a country where it’s illegal? :?
You’re …brave.

And I can think of some MUCH more expensive and plausible hobbies:pachinko machines, metal games,Blu-ray collectors anime…and that’s just in a “good” range of income. When the zeros start to increase it’s a whole different story :stuck_out_tongue:

Not so much. The reason eroge is illegal is because it cannot be rated under the current classification system for video games. To sell a video game in Australia, it must be rated. Hence, it would not be legal to sell here, but there’s absolutely nothing stopping me from making a legal purchase in another country and having the game shipped to me- the sale occurs in the country the product was sold in (so e.g. sales tax is paid to the Japanese government)

There are other ways in which certain eroge could be considered illegal (for example, if a particular eroge showed drug use with a named, real-life illegal drug) but I rely on the fact that eroge are long and filled with text and nobody is going to have the patience to play an entire eroge to see if it contains something suspect.

In the same fashion, X-rated pornography is illegal in every state of Australia; however, it’s not illegal in the Australian Capital Territory, and because these restrictions don’t apply to shipping, it is perfectly legal to buy stuff in Canberra and have it sent to you.

That said, if I lived in Western Australia, where they have their own rules apparently, it would be a bit of a different story. I’d probably still be pretty safe; just not as safe.
