Probably, because it’s a depressing story, but on the other hand I think a ridiculously upbeat song can work beautifully with really depressing stories too (partly because people have no idea what they’re getting.) exhibit a
Yeah, I don’t really like the song either, but it’s just amusing that the eroge with IMHO one of the most full-on miserable endings ever made starts with… that. Well, the PC version’s is different but along similar lines
The art is fine. I guess I’m not as fond of the style, personally, compared to the original, but honestly art means so little to me once I actually get into an eroge. This will all come down to whether they can make the story work or not. Making a sequel to a well-known classic written by different writers is always risky- look at Kourin no Machi for an example of this seriously not working.
So, tried to play the Suika trial. However, the fullscreen doesn’t quite work in my poor netbook; instead of downscaling or centering, it gets “fixed” on a corner, so I can’t see the bottom and right parts. Does anyone know how to downscale the fullscreen?
It is ‘animated’, yeah, but there’s about fifteen frames of animation for each character- looped over a few seconds- and they just reuse it like 3-4 times for each.
Chara designs are fine with me, although 3/4 heroines being redheads is certainly unusual
Edit: @Mazyrian
You reviewed some games I was interested in,thanks.

Turns out Tsukishima Ruriko’s brother had abused her. It seems when Shizuku originally came out norms were laxer, but by the remake time the self regulating organism of which Leaf was part had rules against sexual relations between close blood relatives.
