encubed mangagamer translator interview

Given what little I know, all the Mai- stories are the same characters, different story. A good example is to look at the two animes.

If the story is anywhere near as good as the anime, I would think it is good. Mai-HiME is one of those few anime which have moved me to tears (which I mentioned in a thread about a year and a half ago).

There are. AIR (Enter the Wired) has an ongoing translation, Tomoyo After (Baka-Tsuki) and Little Busters (TL WIKI) as well. And the translations of Clannad and Kanon may not be that great, I don’t believe people who’ve played them completely will bother paying 50-60 Euros for another copy.

maybe if mangagamer can do uncensored versions people would pay like 40 euros for

I cannot explain why, but I’ve the feel that even uncensored versions would be useless (pirates are pirates  ).
You need a different tactic to improve the sales, maybe discount coupons to use in different shops, physical limited-edition extras mailed to your home by accumulating points for each download (a la DLsite), or something similar :? …

But aren’t all of their releases except Suika uncensored already? And who the hell would play Suika for porn?

I’ve been talking to casual VN fans lately. Surprisingly, demand for demosaicing in story games isn’t uncommon…

That one’s pretty much dead.
