Ya know, I didn’t even bother to check if the G-Collections.com site still worked. I assumed Peach Princess took over their US activities in total, so guessed it was offline or something.

I was supposed to be posting the review to Kissing Under the Mistletoe as well, but somehow all my images for that have been deleted off my laptop… I’ll have to reinstall the game to get them again. That goodness I keep multiple copies of my data saves.

I’ve just noted that some of my “Demo Links” don’t work anymore because the site is http://kokoron.madoka.org - I think they went down for good some time a go. I’ll see about correcting as many as I can in the near future.

My site was hacked by some Russian group. It will be down for a bit, since I reported it and law enforcement are using my logs for an investigation (seems I’m not the only one targeted by them).
I plan to assemble a totally new layout: no idea when it will be finished though…

I too wish to welcome Nargrakhan back and I hope you’re able to fix your site (hope the perpetrators are caught, damn bastards) especially since your reviews have helped me get further into the visual novel area.
Anyway, to Nargrakhan I have a favor to ask if you don’t mind. Since you’ve played Gore Screaming Show, could you answer a couple of questions? I’m asking since I just got the game and I’ll play it once this weeks tests and reports have been finished.
In the configuration menu there is this thing called Gore Filtering Level. What exactly does it do depending on what I set it to?
My next set of questions have to do with a walkthrough I managed to find. Since my knowledge of Japanese is limited (I’m playing using the help of a friend who knows more Japanese than I do), could you explain a couple of things. First here’s the link:

Since there are three endings for most of the routes, which ones are the good endings and which ones are the bad endings?

I do know that to unlock the last two scenarios, you need to complete the first three. Does that mean I need to get all three endings in each of the first three routes?

Not a problem at all. I’m happy so see others enjoy a fantastic title like Gore Screaming Show. Be sure to check out the MinDeaD BlooD DVD Special if you enjoy GSS.
It’s the gore censorship control. Level 1 hides the ultra violent (and I mean ultra violent) murders. Level 3 show everything in it’s crimson glory. Level 2 is the middle ground. I recommend Level 3. It’s not called Gore Screaming Show for nothing.
Dark harem ending. All Black Cyc games have one. Why fight evil when you can become evil.

What’s with the XHTML? Please don’t abuse that technology. Unless you need its special features, which I assume you don’t, use regular HTML.
Also, you’re using presentational tags in your HTML. HTML is supposed to describe semantics, not how something should look. Use CSS for presentation.
HTML is really easy. It’s the CSS that’s hard at times.

The fact is that non-standards compliant HTML full of presentation clutter is actually harder. Look no further than the code of your old site made in FrontPage. You would rather work with that?

Eventually I plan to regularly update my site again. The old MDB review was revamped for the Complete Edition, BCyc’s supposed final rendition to the saga. I’m still paying the bills for hosting, recently just switched to a porn friendly company, and even have a few reviews finished. But I don’t think I’ll be able to coordinate two hobby projects at the same time, with RL being a pain and all that.
I did… for get the name of it right now (that forgettable), but it was a sequel super sentai hentai from Anim. I should have a copy of the old article on my backup drives somewhere.
Did a post about it a few months ago: should be here if my link-fu is still good. Things are pretty much still on target. You could probably put Game Engine to 99% now… Graphics to 20%… everything else is still about the same. Ran into several setbacks, but the safeties kicked in exactly as planned, so everything is cool. Since it could be awhile before I’m ready to give an update with major details, I’ll go ahead and leak this much out: in that previous linked post, the redhead will be one of the winnable heroines… and just to add something fresh, this is a rough concept sketch of another.

In any case… when I do start updating my site, that means SOL will have hit it’s planned “next phase” marker. That is to say, the reason why I’m not updating my site right now, is because so much of my freetime is devoted to getting SOL done.
