Well, I'm not too familar with the RPG genre in Japan, even if I've seen some quite interesting games in the Japanese RPG genre and I really do like some of the english RPG's, but if I have to choose between RPG's and sims/ADV's like dokusen, then I'd absolute choose the sim/adv's since they're much more realistic than RPG's (in more than a few ways, too )

Hmm do you guys think bishoujo games will ever have a decent niche market here in the US? I think because of the increasing popularity of anime, that it might one day be possible, although it could be 10 years from now (And who knows whether PP will still be around).

Well, ifthe mainstream distubutors begain to carry on Peach Princess's titles, things would look much better than they do now, but as for now, most of them refuse to carry on Peach Princess's products as you know... Anime got popular because of the huge support, and the mainstream distubutors saw it, gave up (kind of ) and decided to carry on the various products that the companies offered and... voila! the anime market was created! The same thing might happen to bishoujo gmaes, but it may take a while ^^;;

Yeah, that’s why I give it a 10 years minimum. It’s slow progress, but there IS some progress.

Yup. But without the help of their customers, Peach Princess won’t progress at at all… remember that .

Afte rall, just like the anime industry has peole who speads the word about anime, fights against the piraticy and/or corrects various misunderstandings about the genre, so needs Peach Princess that kind of support of their customers and fans (including the support of buying their games, of course )

Peach Princess can’t go at it alone. There will probably be other companies in the future that will crop up and take their stab at it. Who knows what will happen. However I don’t think bishoujo gaming is doomed like furry fandom is.

Outside of Japan the bishoujo gaming is practically new, since i’m sure that most of us likely find out of this via internet, and internet just started to get popular in 95 around that time, so they are new Bishoujo fans everyday, sooner or later it will become a solid market around the world. At least that the way i see it (very optimistic, i know)

Thanks for the link Kamiyama

Maybe I’m being naive, but so many things have been called ‘dead’ over the years that I’ve stopped worrying about it.

Let’s say things do fall apart in the Bishoujo market. That doesn’t mean that ten years from now someone else won’t give it a shot and be able to make it work. Times change, people change and markets change.

Look at the movies. Americans are just now getting comfortable with the idea of watching forign film. It’s small going, but thanks to the net I think things will pick up. Plus, nothing paves the way quite like sex.

Fortuna is available at Himeya.

Look in the Adult section,

Then the New / Preorder Section.

I'd prefer it in English as well, but right now, this is as good as it gets.

Yup... We can't hope of anything else than Crowd and Will's games for now... But if Peach Princess got their products out at the market by the mainstream distributors, then maybe we could hope to see some games from some other companies as well

Hehe, I was just about to post something about this game, but I saw someone had already done it. Wow! is all I got to say after watching the movie and playing the demo. January 25th can’t come fast enough! Its games like these that made all that damn japanese studying worthwhile =). Has anyone tried the Innai Kansen series at all? I might pick up some other Zyx titles if this one is as good as it seems so far. Also has anyone given “Kaze to Daichi no Pageant” or “Avaron” a try? They are both rpgs I have been considering recently as well. They are both located at shop.himeya.com in the Adult Japanese Etc. section under Xuse and Zone respectively.
