Unfortunately, this is a non-adult game so some ppl here might not enjoy it. Fortunately, since this is a non-adult product, it can be ordered from Amazon and get 30% off.

speaking of clannad, some stores offer really weird items for limited editions, one offer a sports jacket, and another.....ahem, an apron worn by a certain character in the game......

....will panties come out next?

Maybe. Because any fan of Najica Blitz Tactics will know of the super special item that was included in with the first DVD and box edition.

Umm, I thought most people here played the games for the different feel and story/plot? ...Or am I wrong and are most people here a bit perverted?

I think that it’s both. Some games are really interesting even without any sex scenes. If this were not the case, games like Private Nurse, Kanon, Air, To Heart etc wouldn’t be made into console games with the h scenes removed. I would rather play the PC version because, just like watching anime, I don’t like to have anything cut out. I don’t like the words “dating sim” used to describe bishoujo games, because some of them are not about dating at all. There are lots of interesting stories in bishoujo games and that makes them a lot of fun to play. On the other had, games like “H na Bunny-san wa Kirai?” would be nothing without the sex scenes. It’s a sex based game, and it’s still fun. There are all kinds of bishoujo games, some without sex at all. I like to enjoy them all. Well, I’m not into lolicon or rape. It’s not my thing. But I can enjoy some bishoujo games with little story if they are very erotic. So, I love good story lines and character development, and I can enjoy purely erotic games as well. I am not going to pretend that I don’t enjoy the erotic art at all and that I only play the games for the art and story. I like all of it. It all comes together. That’s how I feel anyway. But if you really only enjoy the story part of the games, that’s fine with me. I’m glad that you are supporting bishoujo games.

Princess Knights by MInk is great game. Make sure you DL the correction file from the Mink. Also, this game is really long why? because their are lot of different characters and each people have different endings. Ofcourse this game have bad ending and best endings. Will pretty sure you will have fun.

Hmm, missed this topic until now. Having been “picking up” Japanese for 2 years (and slowly learning Kanji since August), I’ve just started playing my first Japanese-language game! It’s Mizuiro, because I know how lovely a story that is having played the fan-translation from Ayashii, where all the choices except those leading along Hiyori’s path were disabled (because he’d only translated that path!) It’s being a lovely experience: it’s a game and characters that I’m very fond of (I loved the Mizuiro 2003 OAV as well), and some of the story is familiar, but I’m constantly having wonderful surprises of choices where the translated version didn’t have any It’s slow going (I have to refer to my Kanji dictionary a lot), but it’s wonderful fun!

And on the non-adult games thing, I’d very happily play non-H bishoujo games if there were any translated to English! Well, I suppose there are now. Amusement Park was rather disappointing, and I’ve not tried Day of Love yet. I suspect in fact that the Japanese Mizuiro I’m playing may be non-H, because it’s on Dreamcast - can anyone confirm this? The sex scene in the translated version seemed sufficiently unnecessary / gratuitous that I won’t mind at all if that is the case.

As far as the 500Mhz goes, here’s a bishoujo game that requires 1500 mhz and only runs on XP! I wonder what it’s like!

Wow, that certainly is an achievment. A bishoujo game that requires more cpu power than Doom 3, Farcry, or Unreal Tournament 2004. That has to either look stunning or be really badly coded.

My desktop computer only 866MHz lol I have to buy new desktop if I purchase the 1,500MHz game. lol

If you look at the main page for this game, it says it requires 384MB of memory and a DirectX9 64MB video card.

I been watching some of the demo movies, and it’s like watching an anime that uses a lot of character boxes whenever someones talks. Everything’s animated. It’s like playing that one game, Dragon Lair, only better. It’s like you’re playing an anime show. Looks very cool.

From the videos it looks pretty cool. Still don't see how the requirements are that high though. No 3D, therefore no complex physics engines, and the art although looks good is seems to be totally flat.

Sick...

How does anybody teach themselves a language like Japanese? I mean, I’ve been watching subtitled anime for ten years and I’ve picked up…not a lot.

With a basic level of Japanese I imagine a whole lot of dialogue nuance will be lost and I find it pointless and frustrating just vaguely following a plot.

Too expensive, anyhow. So I suppose it’s just as well I can’t understand them!

Maybe, but if you check the videos more closely, you will see THE ENTIRE game is high-quality animated, with moving character boxes, choices and scenarios.
Anyway, maybe that's not all. This game could to have something else in his gameplay we didn't see yet who demands so much requirements.

I think it is more then the language though, it is also all the cultural ideas and jokes which might be funny within their cultural understanding but not within another one. It is sort of like how I learned in one place I will not mention slips of the tounge are not considered funny or people just ignore them, but saying things accidently like more cats then a live where I am from will have people laughing. So it is more then just learning the language, or so I think anyway that goes with picking up the nuances.

fully animated huh sounds interesting. so how are the character designs? The link at himeya doesn’t have any screen caps.

Just wondering... Why are you always so full of prejudices to people, gaogao? As for the current matter, seeing how "Clannad" was anticipated, I doubt any Japanese-reading bishoujo gamer would not be interested by it...

Why not? Some quite well-known company gave out a school mizugi.

School mizugi, really? I think that was supposed hint at something most b-game fans know of but I never heard of it. What company, with what game? Any links with pictures? That’s quite a bonus. It mush have cost a lot.
