Wished to death by a giant cow. That's just bad. I guess, I must avenge myself on [b]Spectator Beholder yet again.

I'll take that as interest. Three or four hundred years ago, in Scotland, there were many clans. One of them was Clan Shaw. Now, Clan Shaw was fairly small and didn't have much land. Now, the leader of Clan Shaw was called the Laird. He became the Laird when his father died. After his father died, his mother remarried. Anyway, one day, the Laird's stepfather kicked the Laird's dog. The Laird responded by drawing his sword and killing him.

In response, the Bishop of Morey confiscated all the Shaws' lands and gave them to the Grants. The Shaws fought the Grants and lost.

So, you see. We Shaws may not be all that bright. We may not have that much foresight. But you better think twice about messing with our dogs.

Hey! We'll have none of that here...well, at least not in this thread anyway. Take it into yon thread (you know, the one with the poetry quoting).

Well, about OMnY, Gamelex GS US have finailly put a review of the game at their site. Althrough I’m a little disapointed of their description of the game, it’s good enough.

Good to see an update from them, anyway. I had almost given up hoping that they’d put any new reviews there. Some new Japanese games is up at G-collections, too.

I read that one, but I think it's hardly a review. It contains less information, than the info, you posted about the game yourself in the "What next CROWD-game"-thread.

Hmmm. I get really tempted to write a review (or what I think, a review should be) myself and post it at Himeya's website, in order to demonstrate what I mean...
But for that, I should at least play some more in the Sophia/Silje-branch of the story, to get some more fragments of the whole picture...

I have nothing against dogs... in my plate. Or hot ones in my sandwiches. Otherwise, I can't stand them!

Do that, and I'd gladly read that review! . So, have you played some more on OMnY lately?

And you're right about what you said about Gamelex GS.. Then, again, it's kind of typical of them; most of their reviews are kind of short, but still quite good. But still, the way they do it make me a little disappointed .

I did, but just a little bit...
At least, I know by now for sure, that Silvia is also available in the Sophia/Silje-direction of the story. But at that point, when I have to select my personal maid, I stopped, so still not enough experience for really writing a review.

I see, then I'll go back to waiting eagery for it :9. And how has your skill with Kanji improved since you brought OMnY, BTW?

They have improved, but still there are too much gaps, I have to leave unrecognized. That's why I stopped at the point of choosing the personal maid.

Ok, thne . I hope they're improved enough in a couple of months for you to writte that review . Hmm, since you've palted the Obbligato demo, the OMnY gmae, and a couple of more games, I'd like to ask you this: Is is harder to translate a game where the story is set in a fantasy-world
thna it is to translate a game that is set in, a "present-day" world, like Obbligato?

BTW, where is that cat-girl wallpapaer you promised me? I sent you my e-mail, but haven't received an answer yet .

There might be no big differences. In fact, most of the special words for each genre have to be borrowed from the english language anyway (for example: "handy" or "computer" in todays speech, as well as "elf" in fantasy speech), because there are no original japanese (or chinese) words for them. The japanese words, that really have to be translated are almost the same in both genres.

It is more a question of the style, the story is written in: some original japanese words have no direct translation and would make a translation difficult. If the author of the story likes to use these words very much (at least, my japanese course tells me, these words are very popular in japan), the translation becomes tricky.

I'll resend it right now. Please keep me informed...

I suppose, you referred to the resend of the mail, I did for SB.
O.K., I'll mail it to you right away

I see… So the translation can be really tricky sometimes?

And as for the pictues, still nothing, it seems… is it the right adress? I’ll take another look at my e-mail tomorrow, and if there’s still nothing there, I’ll send you my second e-mail and then we’ll see if that works better (Well, it worked fine with the Slave Bazaar wallapapers I received earlier anyway).

I just sent them.

Still nothing… well, that decided it. I’ll send you a mail from my second e-mail, then we’ll see if that goes any better.
