This one has a rather interesting ,yet weird concept. I’ve never come across a game that involves someone getting a sex change before.
I finally ordered the game last week and now is waiting on the mail to delivery it to me. However in response to this post title,
“for all the Ranma fans who always wondered…” , while Ranma might never have dealt with the problems of a boy who can change into a girl on the personal level Futaba-Kun Change has hit on some of them. The touching of private parts, how to put on a bra, how to buy underwear and other everyday problems females have, including the bad thing as well, (e.i.being groped on the subway) I think this series has used the gender change better then Ranma every did(This opinion based on 17 volumes of Ranma vs 4 volumes of Futaba-Kun Change read so far.) They both are funny on the slapstick side, both Futaba-Kun Change has used the gender-bender better.
just and observation…
why neither in Ranma 1/2 or in Futaba-kun Change or Takuya (… well he was female only for 4 days but… anyway…) (in the volumes/graphic novels i’ve read so far) the male/female character never menstruate?? cuzz that something that girls handle with every month… so why they skip that “stuff”…?? (maybe there’s something about skipping this that i don’t know)
(sorry girls… i’m not a perv or something like that… is just something i’ve noticed in those gender change stories)
(also… Asuka mentions that in x-change but anything happened)

Kumiko; Futaba-kun Change has a copyright of 1990(vol 1)-1992(vol 4) by Hiroshi Aro,with Shueisha Pub. Co as the original Japanese publisher and have been published by Ironcat since 1999(just the graphic novels, the manga 1998?)
I would not be surprised that menstruation might be brought in to this comic in the future. After all the the main chara, Futaba Shimeru's father is really his mother(it is a genetic thing in his clan.)
They also use a lot of puns and include footnotes that you would love Miss Kumiko. Futaba Shimeru name is said to mean "two tied up leaves" and a girl chara named is named Shusendo Negiri which translate into: money greedy and make discount.
When’s X-Change 2 coming out???

-Since the announcement of acquiring the rights to X-change 2 was made last month and not knowing wether or not they've started on it yet, I'd say sometime btween July - December 2002. The only game that I'm sure they're working on, from various posts I've read is Critical Point, its at least in the translation stage right now.
Hi Kumiko-san,
I’ve tried X-Change for the first time today and I couldn’t stop laughing! What a neat game! After playing Snow Drop for so long you kind of get used to hearing the characters speak as you put the main character through his/her paces. Also after playing S D for as long as I have made this game a little more easier to work with. Not to say that it’s boring. Oh no just the opposite. But I do know one things for sure is that instead of a Ranma 1/2 story line it is more of a ‘Futaba-Kun Changes’. I’m sure Kumiko-san have seen this manga before. And unlike Ranma 1/2 it does deal with what the fairer sex have to put up with.
I’m curious, thus far I’ve found 6 endings. How many endings are there?
Anyway, I’m going to keep plugging away at
SD and X-Change.
Again Domo for a great game!!

Kumiko just thought she’d open a topic specifically for X-change. Naturally, this is another take on stories like Ranma or Maze. (giggles) The thing is, most of the game you’ll be playing as a GIRL! Ahh… REVENGE! Now all of you will get to see things that girls have to put up with - will you ever be the same, huh?(and… maybe you’ll have so much ‘fun’ you won’t want to go back to the ho-hum life of malehood? remmeber, ‘girls just wanna have fun’!)
All kidding aside, the paths for X-change vary from silly, perverted comedy to some really sweet drama, depending on your choices. There’s a little something in the game for most any bishoujo fan - well, except for those who are really into the extreme hardcore stuff (this is a comedy, after all!)
Ummm… Kumiko assumes that everyone gets the joke in the title, that it’s a wordplay on “Sex-Change”? Just checking…!
On Ranma,Maze,X-change,I already knew what it is like to be on the girls side.Because since I was eight years old the where chasing me to take them on dates and Ahem where the sheets are.
Hiya!! Hmm, will very, very soon order X-change¬Ö But I’m kind of nervous, because I’ve never ordered anything via the Internet before and even less ordered something from a another country¬Ö so, before I order, I wonder if the kind Kumiko-sama maybe could give me an advice or two before I fill the order?? Don’t have a credit card, so I’m kind of worried about how things will be after I’ve placed my order (sigh, things would be a lot easier if I had a credit card, or at least I think so)(and, what does the “bill to” part of the order mean? Should I write that part of the order only if*'m ordering the game for another, not for myself??). But, I’m sure that I’m worrying for nothing¬Ö I hope that the shipping don’t gets delayed because of the tragic events in New York¬Ö stupid terrorists¬Ö they should spend their time and money on something else¬Ö like Bishoujo games, maybe? .
By the way¬Ö of all the future games PP is planning to produce, I’m most curious about X-change 2¬Ö haven’t heard any info about the story Xchange 2, nor have I heard very much about the characters in the game¬Ö Judging from some pictures I’ve seen, it looks like some characters from the first game’s still there but I don’t know how many from the last game there is, and I don’t know anything about any of the new characters either¬Ö so, what I’d like to ask, is if you, Kumiko-sama, could tell a bit about the game like you usually do? Pretty please??
Thank you for the tip, Kumiko! But, it’s strange… you say that you only need to fill the “Bill to” if you’re ordering it for yourself, and yet it seems like the order page don’t accept my order unless I fill both… is there anything wrong with the page? I did fill everything, and yet… sigh
And thank you for that page!! Not very many details, but it’s always nice to have some new info about the game! (I was kinda worried for a while… in oppsite to the many disscusions about other future games, people here hardly say anthing about X-change 2, so I’ve been thinking for a while that maybe X-change 2 aren’t as popular as some of the other games here among the customers, or at least that people don’t except as much of this game as of some other future games??).
Anyway, good evening to you, Kumiko-sama!!
Spectator Beholder,I have been ordering from Peach Princess since it came on line, and have been ordering from J-list for years. It’s easy set up your account with eather one, then use the shopping basket,or e-mail your orders.I have never had any problem that way.
Kumiko,twenty-three endings,that sounds like a real barn-burner.I’ll get it.

Well,It's easy for you to say, but keep in mind that I'm a newbie when it comes to ordering... But I'm sure that when the litte problem's over and I do the order, I'm sure that I'll laugh at my litte mistake (if it's I who's doing the wrong thing, not some goddamn error, that's it...) and then order other games from PP without any problems (I hope ^^; in the future
Well, I’ve told him about the problem, but like you, he didn’t know if anything was wrong… he also said that it shouldn’t work that way… the only problem he cold think of was my browser, but I don’t think there’s anyhing wrong with it (have tested it on other computers than my own, too)… So, it seems like I have to follow his (and your) advice and order vila E-mail or fax…Then there should be no problem (I hope…)
Oh, and one more thing about X-change 2… it seems to me that the majority of the games you’re currently working at have at (judging from what I’ve read in other threads) least one “dark ending”… Does X-change 2 also have some dark endings, or is there just “good” or “neutral” endings in it???
