Adult bishoujo games that

… requires an advanced/highly upgraded computer, does they exsist? Here in the west, we often see games that requires that you upgrade certain parts of your computer (the 3D card, the memory, etc), but the adult bishoujo games I’ve seen so far have required no upgrades on my (or anyone else’s I know of) computer. In most cases, they only requires that you have some free disk space and 16 bit color or lower… And that’s a relif to me and many other people, I’m sure, since adult bishoujo games doesn’t require you to have a high-class computer to play them, but I wonder if those kinds of games exsist in Japan? games that requires as much of one’s computer that some games here in the west, like Morrowind, does?

yes, i forgot the name of the game
but it’s in full 3-d, a fighting game, and the movie is jsut as beautiful as tekken 4 and virtua fighter 4 movies with fighting/stages just as (a little bit less, but not that much) as Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore (not 3…)

It required Pentium 3 or 4 or whatever the newest one with like 633 mhz, whicn most peeps dont’ have yet.

Battle Raper?

Probably is Battle Raper. Most of those 3D Illusion games require a slightly better class of hardware than other bishoujo type games and since Battle Raper is a fighting game, it’s even higher than most of those.

that’s the name

Hmm, I see… so there IS games that require a very highly upgraded computer, but they are quite rare in Japan? (Kumiko said once before that such gmaes takes more money and time to make than most adult bishoujo games, so most companies don’t do it, especially not since 3D adult bishoujo games aren’t very popular in Japan).

Bishojo Games not popular in japan? you are very wrong…it’s a multi-billion(or million depending ont he company) buisness. Elf makes much money as Square does

I said 3D adult bishoujo games .

Smaller market, but definately has its place in Japan. It has managed to keep Illusion afloat. Illusion seems to specialize in 3d adult bishoujo games.

Yes, there are quite a few bishoujo games in Japan that require some kinda special hardware. The common 2 required hardware I see are:

First, 3D accelerators. 3D stuff, we are all used to those. Illusion’s games are like that. Elf’s WordsWorth is also like that. Studio Ego’s games combines both 2D (sprites) and 3D technology (effects, background).

Second, voice recognition. This means you need a sound card that is not ISA. I mentioned this briefly in another post, but basically you can input commands via speaking japanese in the microphone. Studio Ego’s Castle Fantasia Erencia Wars is like that, it’s an RTS where you can yell the unit/character’s name and tell them what to do etc via voice recognition. A few of the older ZYX games uses this technology too.

Hmm… ok… Doesn’t the company that release Phantom of Inferno combine 3D and 2D a little too? Judging from the demo movie, parts of the game are 3D…

Well, that's 3D pre-rendered guns and stuff and merged into the 2D characters, much like some of the CGs I made myself. I seriously doubt it's OpenGL or any realtime rendering. Think about it, it's a DVD-game...I will be shocked to hear that regular DVD players have real-time 3D rendering technology (besides PS2) ^^

Ok, ok . Then perhaps I shouldn't except too much of Phantom of Inferno
