Ahh... today, I'm in Heaven *happy sigh*

I got Kana today… Haven’t started to play it yet (and I won’t until tonight), but i’m alreday feeling like Largo here :
http://www.megatokyo.com/index.php?strip_id=284

Woot, enjoy Spec~. ^^

Ah, Kana sure is a long game. I haven’t been able to come very far in Kana, althrough I played for 3-4 hours before I hads to go off to sleep or something like that, and I’m still somewhere in the middle of the game! so either the game is very long, or I’m a really slow player . But if it is the later case, thne i don’t really care since I think that a n adult bishoujo game should be played slowy to enjoy the fulle experience of it, just like you have to drink a good wine slowy to enjoy the taste .

But the story so far… Is quite moving. also, often when I have to make a choice, it feels kind ahard since it’s so serious, but I really try to make the choices I would have done in reality (in fact, I think that this time, I’m playing more honestly than I ever have before…). Too early to say what I think more of the game for now, I have to play some more… but, boy this game have more of this “serious feeling” in it than any other game I ever have played, I think…

ENVY!!!

Hehe, serves you right! .

… I’ve just finishhed playing through Kana for the first time… and… It’s simply an amazing game… I didn’t except to cry but somehow some tears managed to find their way through my eyes the very moment when… sigh… I don’t know what ending I got, but since Kana didn’t survive, it was probably one of those unhappy endings. But since it snowed when she… I guess that it was the ending “snow” that you mentioned.

Edit: It seems like I was wrong; It wasn’t “Snow” I got, it was “Memories”, the 5 th ending…

i finally bought Kana, just waiting for it to get to me…i know i’ll bawl my eyes out ,but i am looking forward to it…

just one question…are there a lot of choices in the game, or are there only a few key ones and a few non-key ones?

Hmm, I don’t really know… some choices you get seems unimportant while others seem to be very important, but I cannot really say… For example, at a point you want to give a book to Kana, and you have three choices. At two other points (if I remember correctly, that’s it), I got similar choices, but it’s really hard to tell if they have any effect on in what direction the story will move or not…

But, yeah, you’ll get plenty of choices, yes, but as I said, I cannot tell how important they are, at least not at this point.

Yes, dear goddess, you will cry your eyes out. Whether a choice is key or not is hard to tell, you will get to make many choices though as the game is very long.

ooh goody, i like lots of choices

and when we say long, are we talking eve burst error/desire long?

I haven’t played any of those, but it sure took me a long time to finish my first time to Kana. About 8 hours or more, I’d say.

Edited to add: SB, why don't you post over in the Kana endings thread. I'm sure we'd all like to hear your thoughts.

Haven't posted there because that I haven't played Kana allt hat much yet. I have been _very_ busy for the last few days (which explkains why i haven't posted at all here the last two days), and so far, I've only played through Kana once and a half time, ands before I take a look at the Kana thread and risk to reveal certain spolilers for certain paths I haven't experienced myself yet, I want to play Kana some more .

Got today the message from Himeya, that they have shipped “Owarinari maidotachi no yoru LE” to me. If I’m lucky, I will receive it next weekend and may give my first impressions (that I promised) on August 5th.

Hey! Why you are looking this angry? Ouch! Dont do this! It’s me, Unicorn! Sharpe is over there…

Oh, back to the topic: I really wish, g-collections would solve their problems with non-U.S.-creditcards. There are so much threads, I fear to read, because of spoilers on games (already got almost too much spoilers on ‘Kana’, before I decided to stay away from these threads), I have never even seen running…

*transform into a wild wolf a la Alucard ( ) and runs at Unicorn to chew on his leg* *bawls* Be SURE to tell us about the game after you've gotten it, or I won't forgive you *evil stare*

Oh, and I haven't been at any of the Kana topics yet. Still haven't had allt hat much time to paly it... The fact that I'm now playing the Brave Soul demo as well as Morrowind and Kana slows me down too... also, since i'm the only one in the house for the most part of the day, guess who has to do various chores in the house? So not much time to play Kana... I have played it a little, but since it's a long game, it's not something you can finish in two-three hours like TCI.

I apologize for leaving spoilers everywhere. I will try to refrain more in the future, or remember to insert a spoiler warning.

Nevermind. This is a free board, after all. The threads themselves had the spoiler warnings in their names or at least, they were about Kana, so I should have thought about the danger of spoilers myself. I simply wanted to stay up to date and had to pay the prize of getting unwanted informations. Curiosity killed the cat...

They're still listed as preorder, but I imagine that they should start shipping soon.

I asked g-collections about ordering from JAST. They told, that their negotiations with JAST are not closed right now, and I don't know what will be faster: The negotiations or the fixing of the CC-problem.

Still, you may not be comfortable with that.

You're right! I'm not. And an international FAX with my creditcard-number to is not my preferred option either. I simply have to wait (and hope, that the games do not run out of print in the meantime... )

You bet, I will. At least, if I survive the time until it arrives. I already promised and may promise again as well.

Maybe, g-collection will solve their problems on my birthday? That would be really a nice present to me...

You heven't seen Hellsing? Well, then... Alucard is the vampire who works for the Hellsing organization. He can transform into a wolf/wild dog, and many other things as well. You can see the wolf/dog in the Hellsing Opening, which you could download from the Anime Intro Archive here: http://anzwers.org/free/animeintro/hellsing.html (This site doesn't offer whole episodes, only Openings/endings and a few clips, so I don't really know if it is illegal or not, since an Opening/Ending isn't much more than a "preview"'...

Ok, good, good . Hearing about a game isn't as good as playing it yourself, but it's at least better than nothing... Lucky devils, all those who are able to read Japanese... *bawls* Maybe I should rob a bank and then hire a "private translator"? .

Phew, what e relief. Only a shape-shifting vampire. I feared, it would be something worse than Fenris...

How about a japanese girlfriend/penpal? That should do the trick and maybe even help learning japanese youself? (The superior of my sister has a japanese wife and has always trouble with her family, because he regularly fails in learning japanese between their visits home in Japan...)

Don't be too sure of that . You should see Alucard in Episode 7 or 8, when he releases his true power... he is actually quite scary then. Then, again, Fenris... he is quite cool, that one .

A Japanese girlfriend ... The throught of that is intereting, but I think that would be impossible... but a penpal... maybe .

Besides, with a cute Japanese girlfriend, you may spend your time to do things other than play bishoujo games, Beholder-san... living your own game, in a way, for instance.
