It would be interesting to play it from a different perspective. It was quite a change of pace the first time I played King’s Quest IV, where the main character was Princess Rosella. Of course, it took me quite a while to figure out some things that only “girls” would have thought out (as a female friend who was playing the game, too, told me).
why not, you can’t have every story from one angle.
I like games that that have you play from different perspective. Playing from a female character point of view always interest me.
Hmmmmm…
Well…I could say that I really do not care…if the story is good…
Nevertheless, if the story is a romantic one…I really prefer playing a man…
Oh, well…v
I like playing as both for a couple of reasons.
1) Usually the games are designed so that the guys and gals each have their own strengths and weaknessess (so what might be easy for a girl, is hard for a guy and vice versa.) This challenges me to, to coin a goofy phrase, "think outside the box."
2) More replay. Sure, I’ve finished a game as Captain Bob, but now I’m kinda curious as to what Captain Mary would do during the situation.
3) Some gender exploration. Okay, I’ll admit it, sometimes I get kinda curious about what it would be like to be a girl. That’s one of the reasons I picked up X-Change. If a game gives me the option to play as both a guy and a gal, I can see the world through a girls eyes.
4) The girls are usually drawn better. For whatever reason, it’s my finding that the girl characters are just drawn better. Now I’m not talking “eye candy” here. I mean things like colors, looks, animation, coreography. I just think the girls are done better.
Hope that answers your qustion
Mike
Something meaningless to follow.
How about Key’s Air (or the last chapter in Air). You get to play a crow instead (whoopie!), and unlike those Disney flicks, this one doesn’t talk but squawks.
