Hello there. I was just curious to know if anyone else here has an interest in darker themed hentai like Water Closet? I am glad that Peach Princess is the one company so far to release a title like Water Closet. I hope this is a good start to see more of these titles released here in America. I think a series worth mentioning that is somewhat similar to Water Closet but maybe a little more serious, would be the P.S series by Uran. Is anyone here familiar with it? All three of the P.S titles have very nice artwork, and definitely involve darker themes such as rape, exhibitionism, scatology, SM, etc… I would have to say that this type of title is definitely not recommended for everyone. I wonder what we may see after Water Closet? Well, thank you all for your time and I look forward to possibly hearing from anyone else who is interested in darker themed hentai. (^_^)
You mean the genre of bishoujo games known widely as “Kichiku Games” ?
Normally I just play any kind of games, don’t care if they belong to the “Ren Ai” or “Kichiku” genre. But for me to enjoy them, they must have good CGs and innovative ideas in them.Excellent soundtrack and story helps too.
You might want to try “Kao Na Nai Tsuki”,the kichiku H-scenes in that games makes me want to throw up,much worse then scenes in “Hannibal”.
I was just talking with a friend on ICQ the other day and he mentioned that the majority of English Community play only bishoujo games for sex and does not focus much on the story and then I suggest to him to that teh English market should have a relatively new “Kichiku” game that had a good story to change the way people view the genre (Desire was a good attempt, but sadly the game is old.),“Kao Na Nai Tsuki” came to my mind as it had Excellent,Shocking Kichiku H-Scenes with a good story to back them up,enough to shock the English Speakers to play games.

Ya, I think Kao na nai tsuki will definitely do some impact to the genre…shocking or not, I am not “that” shocked myself though.
If you guys are interested in this title, called “No Surface Moon” in English (that’s the game EXE filename, so can’t go wrong with that :P), goto this URL

What’s the story about? Hehehe, actually I am still half-confused with the storyline so I will let Orochi (who has much better Japanese skills than me) do in talking
I think PeaPri might have the ability to bring this title over…hint hint

The title of it, in english, is called "No Surface Moon"
Yes I know it’s not from Will or Crowd, I am not saying peapri can bring this over right at this moment…I am just saying that’s one of the companies peapri might want to pursue if they choose to pursue other various companies for more bishoujo titles, in the future of course ^^

Another update that soon? You just had one a few days ago ^^
Maybe you should keep a “news archive” or something

Yahoo! New Update again! I love you Kumiko-chan and the rest of the team!
Hi, Joshua.
Frankly, I’m not into darker theme of bishojo game. I’m more into the light and happy theme like Tokimeki Check-in, Season of Sakura etc.
However, in some cases I accept dark bishojo game as long as it has a story plot and a happy ending
FYI,
I’m “NOT” that good in Japanese.
Just learnt it in a spur of a moment after playing the Japanese version of FF6 way back in '94 when I was 14.
Never taken a Japanese proficiency test in my 7 years experience in Japanese nor intend to in the future, unless my future Job requires me to.
I just learnt enough to understand games and had difficulty trying to the grasp old time Japanese in chapter SUMMER of AIR.
Lamue,
If you are confused by the story, you are not the only one. From the reviews,it seems that you had to get the “Truth” ending to understand it all, very much like Desire. And they translate the name of the game wrongly. It should be “Moon Without A Face.” (Tsuki = Moon, Kao = Face , Nai = No)
Kaiser,
Kichiku Games usually does not have a completely happy ending.Let’s take a game that you guys are familar with,Fatal Relation. It’s a Kichiku game with a lot of S & M,the ending,at most, can be describe as semi-happy.
In a Kichuku game, the females usually becomes a “H Torei” for a novel but they’re happy in their own way. There are a happy endings in those Kichiku Bring Up Sims game, but some can be really quite strange. (Such as in Natural 2-DUO- Chisato’s Torei Happy End,She became a Sex Slave to the main male Chara but is married to him happily.CG shows her in Bondage Leather Suit but is with a wedding gown’s veil on her head, a ring on her ring finger and her expression is one of pain and ectasy, might be disturbing for some people.BTW,I really enjoy the Natural series, hard to find a series of games that mix “Imoto + Ren Ai + Kichiku” all into one so well.)

Kaiser, its kind of funny you mention Season of the Sakura from JastUSA. Since basically in one of the endings Shuji rapes the girl he ends the game with. (She forgives him for it) It was the only ending I really had a problem with in an otherwise great game.
TO Orochi:
I know that most dark bishojo games rarely has a happy ending. That’s why I always select carefully
To Jason4:
Aha…nice to see a comrade
I like Nocturnal Illusion as well, it stands on top of my favourite list. The dark theme I like was Miwako’s (the maid) where they finally got a great happy ending
TO Doug:
Hmmm…who did Shuji rape??? AHA…now I remember…it’s Seiya right!?
Well, I really can’t blame him though. You’re alone with a kawaii girl where she voluntarily invited you; who can’t resist it? I mean men can be a beast sometimes you know
Secondly, Seiya is a nice, shy religious girl she can’t possibly made the first move (although the place was quite inappropriate ). Also Shuji forced his way because he grew fond of her (if you chose her) and not based solely on lust plus Seiya also has loved him. Seiya and Shuji also has a happy ending in the end as well
Forgive me if this message is kinda in error and if offend anyone, I just finished watching GTO(Great Teacher Onizuka) and the ending was not quite as I expected. It’s a good ending but not happy.
If you’ll excuse me…I’m going to watch some happy anime to freshen up

Seiya? well i’v never ended the game with her
but, i though Shuji rapes Mio? im pretty sure…
Mio’s a Hikaru Shidou clone…
Hmmm…I think he raped both.
I don’t think rape is the perfect word for that
For Mio, Shuji didn’t rape her…it’s just that he became too obssesed and became too rough and made Mio cry since it was her first time but he apologize which was very sweet
For Seiya, he DID made the first move but I think Seiya allowed it since if you read the conversation she did not act like she was being raped by some perverted guy
To exoarchaeologist:
You should try the ending with Seiya. After all playing bishojo game isn’t complete without all the good endings
If you want I can give you the walkthrough for it.
KaiserFire-san,
Yeah, you are right…it had been awhile since I had played the game.
I’ve gotten an ending with all the girls except Aki. Would anyone by chance know how to get the ending with her?
WraithFox,
Did you dance with her? Did you find out why she was avoiding you and not being her usual assetive self?

Wraith, the kicker with Aki, (besides what everyone else mentioned) is during the festival when your in the classroom eating lunch with Reiko, Mio & Kiyomi. (This takes place after you lose the three legged race with Aki.) While talking with the big three, you'll notice some red hair go by the window. Use the excuse your given in the options to follow Aki to the gym and agree to run the race with her next year. If you blow it off and stay in the classroom you can't win the game with her.
Hi.
Doug and FeistyGuy is correct. To get an ending with Aki you must:
*‘Think’ during your luch with the trio girl and meet her (with an excuse to go to the bathroom)
*Dance with her
*Give her the Chistmast present
Then voila, during Valentine just choose her and she’s all yours
Kaiser Fire-san:
Wasn’t it on White day? IIRC:
Shoko: during sports festival
Seiya and Meimi (sp?): on Christmas
Ruri: on the onsen trip
Aki, and the MKR girls: on White day, when you give chocolate back, to one of the girls.
Kumiko-san: I will say it depends. If I had to replay to whole game from scratch and the game happens to be too repetitive and LONG, I will stick for the endings of the girls I like. Also, if to determine each ending is way too confusing, I may drop it, too. It not only involves the amount of endings, but also gameplay and how to reach each of them.
About the whole “No Surface Moon” or “Moon Without a Face” thing, I always thought it being the latter, which in actuality would mean a “Lunar Eclipse”…that’s what I thought it meant anyway
As for the story…it’s pretty confusing and I need to beat the game at least 3 more times to get onto the truth path, but it’s slowly making more sense.
…but it’s on the back burner for now until I beat Triangle Heart 3. I like a lot…even more so than 2
Just got hold on info that you’ll need to get every chara’s ending in “Kao” before you’ll have access to the final “Truth” end…
And…
CARNELIAN-sama Sai-Kou !!!
