Beta Applications are now closed, thank-you for all who applied, I will be sending out details for the beta in the next 24-48 hours.
I was accepted to be a beta tester but i never got any details about the beta.
I don't think anything's been sent out yet.
Sorry guys, we were doing some last minute fixes (actually some of the stuff was a little significant like a navigationbar for mobile users...) so I was waiting on that.
Hopefully it'll be ready to get populated by this afternoon.
The beta forums are too "beta" to post feedback. I can't reply to any topics.
I’ve haven’t had any problems so far I’ve been able to reply topics just fine. All i can say is that you might want to think about adding more profile customization options such as profile backgrounds,a about me section. Also in in Notifications Preferences the background is white and so is the font making it very difficult to read i would recommend changing the background color or the font color. Other then that i really do like the new forums. If i come across anything else i’ll post it here.
Hi, Tim! I know you guys have a metric crapton of more important projects on your hands right now in terms of game releases and tickets, but I was curious if you had an ETA on the official launch of the new forum. Maybe after Shiny Days ships?
So upcoming we have:
Shiny download installer (Nick is working on it - taking longer because it's a huge game and we want to make a new installer that is more user friendly and does hash checking for future games.)
Shiny SE release - Printed materials are ready, golden master is at the press, just needs to be duplicated packaged and shipped.. looking good for 18th afaik.
J-List relaunch - gotta help the sister company; the bugs are being ironed out and there should be a re-relaunch just after shiny.
Seinarukana - We're like on the edge of this one but the SE planning fell behind so once the guys pick up on it, it should be flying out. I know people have been waiting for it- sorry guys..
After that we'll have some time to get the forum logistics done, invites to old members, mod training and recruiting and launch. We could technically launch it now but if something were to happen we're spread too thin to do anything about it.
I've also been working on getting a game history and progress log on the dev log (follow.jastusa.com) have a makeshift one for now- trying to do everything at once but can only get so far y'know~.
Also got trying to get the scripts for Raidy and Starless rechecked but getting the files parsed has been pushed because of all these bigger things. We haven't forgotten, just a little busy.
Gotcha! I'd say all of that qualifies as the "metric crapton" of other important commitments I mentioned. :) We understand, so prioritize what you need to, and we'll look forward to JAST Discuss when you can get around to it.
Good to see that the new Shiny Days installer will be put to good use for future releases as well. Short-term investments with long-term payoffs are always nice. You should consider repacking your old games with the new installer as well, especially School Days.
Once the new repository style distribution is put into effect we will be able to do that efficiently and will slowly add the bigger games back with the new installer if it turns out well.
