What do you mean by lying(I haven’t watched the OVA)?
As for the game, she doesn’t let off too many signs that she likes you after the second day if you don’t keep talking to her.
The main character acts dumb throughout the rest of the game to her feelings, but since there’s an awkward silence between them if you beat the game with a different character at the end, you can interpret that as to mean that he knew all along.
Um unless my memory is failing me or i haven’t read this thread but… What is “Dousoukai”? can i get a link to the official site or something? or maybe the thread.
Dousoukai is a game released by F&C , which Pink Pineapplw made an anime (4 OVA). Again, like so many anime that are based on games, many stories are cut off and/or left untold. (BTW, I haven’t played the game either). Recently a re-hash of the game was made, called Dousoukai Again.

In the next to last episode, Mizuho gave Ayu a chrysanthemum, which she (Ayu) kept in her room. After a party, which Ayu was drunk, Tatsuya driver her home, and after left her on her bed, and when he was about to leave, he noticed the flowers… The same flowers that was left once in his locker several years ago along with a love letter.
So, days later, they go on a date, Ayu notices that Tatsuya treats her a lot differently that he used to. At the end of the day, Tatsuya tells her about the flowers, which she makes no connection, until she arrives home, and sees the flower that Mizuho gave her.
The lie that Sakamoto-san mentions is that: the fact that Ayu took advantage that Tatsuya thoughht Ayu was the girl who gave him the flowers long time ago, and not telling the truth, the fact that it was Mizuho was the girl.

There’s also Dousoukai Refrain, BTW. Dousoukai Again was a major let down for me…bad average story, not much development, etc. only the CGs were semi-decent.
As for that entire storyline with the flowers, that’s completely new to the OVA. Only Makoto and Ayu liked the main character in Jr. High.

The reason why I [b]hated[/b] the OVAs... because I hated the main characters: Ayu for having lied to Tetsuya and in a way cheated on her [i]friend[/i] Mizuho; and Tetsuya for having cheated on Makoto because of a fanciful girl.
Well, you do get a nice ending if you go after her in the game…basically, it all hinges on you opening up to her feelings and you press her into having a relationship all the way at the end.
