The background art is really impressive - definitely a level above the character designs. Although the sprites are diverse in apperance, they just look a bit odd to me, particularly Eiji Browing’s. I guess I’ll have to wait and see what the CGs will be like.

Nah! The city! Midgar to be more precise!
And even there, they held not really superiority because there still was AVALANCHE!
So while I can give them credit for having taken the gradual approach, their success still remains … doubtworthy! 
Midgar was supposed completely redesigned by Shinra at some point in the past (the “plate city” on top), so they owned it.
Wutai was the last real independent power on the Planet - a war against which Sephiroth and pals took part in - and they were on the ropes at that time. Shinra’s control wasn’t 100% - but it firmly held control of the world. Honestly few “world conquests” can claim perfect control - even Big Brother in 1984 (going with the theory that the three Supernations were just lies) had subversion.
I’d still argue that Shinra was in control: especially when you factor Junon, Deepground, and the Neo Midgar projects. AVALANCHE was really an after thought to President Shinra. He was going to abandon Midgar anyways. Plus if Sephiroth didn’t cause things to fall apart, and President Shinra never died, he might have eventually defeated AVALANCHE. After the collapse of Sector 7, they were on the defensive, having lost several key members and Aeris being kidnapped.
Well, five new characters have been added. Four female characters and one male. This Sala character looks like she should be interesting (hey a loli dressed like that has got to be considering how Black Cyc does things).
Now there’s only four more slots open, so it should be interesting to see who these next four characters will be.
Also they added two CGs to the gallery. The first looks very familiar, where or where could I have seen a CG that looks just like this? :twisted: And the other confirms that Norma is a girl and not a trap (for now I can say to Black Cyc, “fool me once (Gun Katana(those who’ve played know what I’m talking about) shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me”).

Narg look at Linda . Brown eyes ,Blue hair, a nurse . She HAS to be related to Yoshie from MDB the measurements are too similar not to be. Linda lacks any “equipment” though like Yoshie cruising the CG gallery of both games. :mrgreen:
Well to be fair, Yoshi’s “equipment” wasn’t natural. It was due to Anabella and/or the twincest being mean.

The awesome themesong and trailer movie are available for download. Really looking forward to seeing what the actual demo movie will be like now.
Hmmm… theme song isn’t “death metal” style. Not that I don’t like it… just that with a song like that, BDD probably isn’t that “dark” a story as I hoped.
Imagery seems to hint twincide rather twincest. Perhaps the player has to “heal the rift” between them? I hope so. :mrgreen:

Also something of some special importance: It would appear that while Shikigami 2008 is a White Cyc title, the ero remake takes place within the Black Cyc universe. :shock:
There’s an omake called EXTRAVAMIZUNA, which takes one of the Shikigami girls (Mizuna of course), and puts her through a sexual hell your typical Black Cyc gals go through… EXTRAVAGANZA style. :twisted:
Not sure how to take it all… I always saw the Black Cyc universe as one where evil reigned supreme. White Cyc has more “hope” towards a positive future. I guess combining the two realities makes things more “balanced” and all - but I liked the idea of a pitiless world where dark sex and ultimate bad was hidden in the shadows; waiting to be set free to destroy the world. :o

Character page has been updated. They’ve revealed the VA’s and are showing off several of the “paper dolls” for the main cast. In classic Black Cyc style, the twincest have different actresses. Can’t wait to hear 'em. It also seems that Norma has quite a number of attack poses (a melee combatant), while the twincest are obviously spellcasters. 8)
I’m sure Black Cyc will find some way to accomadate you narg they always do.
