Noirbo, I have some info to add.

There is a “Gorgeous Crystal” that you get from the “Protect a Merchant [2]” mission. You can’t get it during the mission, but you can if you descend the dungeon again and go back to where you rescued the merchant. It’s in the treasure chest that the boss hid behind right before he ran away. I’m guessing it’s for Karen but I don’t know 100% for sure.

Also, the cloaks for both Alicia and Carroll.

I’ll let you know if I find anything else.

By the way, speaking just for myself, thanks a bunch for all the effort I’m sure you put into making this!

I’ll help you where I can to make it as complete as possible without having the game’s source code in front of us.

Thank you so much for your input. I'll add that missing piece into the list. And Yes, I am sure that "Gorgeous Crystal" can obly be used by our princess. ^_^

Actually, you can get the gorgeous crystal during the mission. I am very sure you can open the chest DURING the battle because I did that…

Lamuness is probably right. I didn’t try to open it before I killed the baddies, and next thing I knew I was back at the guild. Oh well, it made for some good leveling to go back down and get it.

I must bow down to Noirbo here that’s a great list along with the walkthrough thread you made you are the king of BS Now to see if I can actually finish this game once before the week ends.

Thank you for the compliment. ^_^ I am just one of many Brave Soul freaks out there. I hope you have as much fun as I had playing Brave Soul. ^_^

By the way, in case anyone isn't paying attention on my announcement added to the list. The list has been updated. Added 4 more items into the list since the list was posted originally which I believe make the list Truly completed ^_^

Are cursed catbands only available through that bit of story with Marin?

Yes! The cursed catband is only available through one of Marin's special events. However, Marin's other "Cat Accessories" can be obtained even if Marin is not in your party. ^_^

Heh, just gave myself several insane tasks to do as a pastime:

1) get 99 of each item
2) amass max gold
3) use max gold for seed buying to see if i can get my favourite characters to 9999 in all stats by feeding them at low levels and going on from there ;p

errr... okay... You have my moral support, Kibbitz ... If you accomplish them, I'll be sure to remeber buying you a big cake to celebrate that accomplishment ... ^_^

Heh, thanks For the moment, the only questionable items left all seem to be rare drops or quests-only…

02) Gorgeous Crystal (quest-Protect the Merchant 2)
03) Gungnir (Dice Dungeon)
04) Justice (Dice Dungeon)
05) Blessed Cape (Quest - Novelist, bring Alicia)
06) Spirit Stone of Haste (Quest - Recover Lost Item, Marin)

11) Holy Ring (Drop?)
12) Recovery Ring (Tournament, Drop?)

Dying about 3 times gives you beginning marks

To answer your questions,

(9) Beginner’s Mark - As mentioned in the previous reply, once a player dies 3 times, a Beginner’s Mark will be added to your items.
(10) Light Ring - You can buy the ring in the staff room but it’s very very expensive. However, I got my ring by defeating the final boss in the Loser’s Paradise in Crazy Mode (Picks up)
(11) Holy Ring (???) Do you mean Angel Ring??? If so, you can get it from the old man who lives in the Ancient Ruins.
(12) Recovery Ring - You can also buy the ring in the staff room.
(13) Diamond - I got this by defeating Dark Lord in Crazy Mode (Pick up)
(14) Muramasa - I got this sword by defeating the Dark Lord in Crazy Mode (Pick Up)
(15) Fruit - If you choose to play the game in a higher difficulty, you can pick various fruits up quite easily.

Hopefully the above answers are helpful to you^_^

Whoa, thanks for all that info… also need Healing Cloak, but that’s another quest only item under the Old Man bit too, eh?

Yes... You can also buy the Healing Cloak in weapon shop... and if you play in a higher difficulty, that item is also fairly easy to pick up ^_^

Already playing at Crazy with the Sword of Desire, though geh, can’t do that in a place full of those stupid fireball/healer wizard monsters…

Also, it seems to be taking longer and longer to load the maps for Loser’s Paradise… might just be my imagination… lost 45 mins work in another crash…

Hero at 9999 for all stats, killed Loser’s Paradise boss in melee safely using 0 pots and lots of heals from Alicia. 3 Elixirs used because Clare insisted on smacking the boss with her Moonlight and couldn’t take his counter attacks. Sad

Question:

For the beginner’s mark, when you mention dying 3 times, it’s just the hero dying, or is Game Over dying applicable? Since even at Crazy, unless I fight the last boss, I am in no danger of dying and and if I do die, the odds of the others killing it is low unless I max their stats… and still, for all I know, I need to die 3 times in-game as opposed to being spread over the games?

Considering not doing this one ;p
