I seem to recall that this title was looked at for licensing. Was this title skipped?

IIRC, most of the backlash was just that there is a LOT of loli lovers around here— big breasts (and even larger then big) turns them off. So they wouldn’t buy the game. The only other complaints I remember is some complaints against the art, but there’s always a few people that don’t like a particular art style.
So, just sing out— let the right people see that you are interested in the game.
Because resources are limited and only a small fraction of the titles people are interested can be translated, there is sometimes a feeling of competition - if you get your fetish then I won’t get mine!, etc.
I’m not a loli lover but the way Huj Boobs are drawn in hentai is often offputting to my eye.
I’m more of a DFC* fan myself… never liked the whole hueg-milk-bladders think, but really, as long as there’s not too much focus on the breasts in the actual title it’s all fine with me. So while ‘Cleavage’ probably wouldn’t really appeal to me personally, it’s not because I have any sort of automatic inclination towards loli.

I personally don’t understand the obsession some people have with either extreme. What’s wrong with having women in the B and C range? While D can look appropriate on women with a large frame, on smaller framed women looks unnatural. Anything larger than D on any woman starts looking absurd (except on the super-obese, but then there are much larger problems than breast size). As for the other extreme (i.e. AA), why would you want to look at something that essentially looks like that of a little girl or boy, or even a hairless man’s chest without much musculature, on a mature woman? (I know it’s a little bit more than that, but I’m sure you get the idea.)
Regardless of subject matter, there’s still a difference between good and bad quality content. By reputation, Cleavage is regarded to be the latter (a major disappointment to Sei Shoujo fans), so that’s one factor to consider.
Nevertheless, it seems that many people make requests based on theme or artwork rather than product reputation. It’s a poor way of ensuring that an A or B quality product is released (graphics always sell, so there are mediocre games that are marketed via great artwork - think of the attention that Ciel’s Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro got), although this inclination is understandable since few of us have much information on the games in question.
I think the same can be said about games with great content and less than stellar art, no?
Anyhow, I would get this game because the subject matter appeals to me, but more importantly to support English bishoujo games in general.
Well, be careful assigning actual values, as they vary, and there are plenty of people on whom something larger than D doesn’t look ridiculous (but they tend not to advertise their size. the people who advertise their Huge Boobs are often porn stars with implants, so of course they look crazy)… but an actual D is quite often not what hentai artists draw, either. The range of boobs you see in hentai art goes waaaaaaaaay off the scale of actual bras/breasts.
I’d prefer games to have variety. It’s weird if every character has no breasts or huge breasts. It’s like some insane genetic-mutating virus is at work!
I prefer that the characters in the eroge I play don’t have extremely large breasts. It’s not sexy when all I can think about is how much their backs must ache. :roll:
Being a guy, that doesn’t immediately come to my mind while I’m playing a game, but this is very true. I have a friend who is originally from Greece (she has adopted London as her true home) who had reduction surgery for this very reason. I don’t remember exactly what she was at (somewhere in the D or DD range), but she is now in the C range if I recall correctly.
To answer the original question posed by the thread, we’re still investigating licensing options for Cleavage. We’ve been in negotiations for awhile and are cautiously optimistic that we’ll have a definitive answer one way or another in the near future; it might be something to keep an eye out for in the next few weeks. Maybe.

Yes, it’s been licensed. It was announced at the JAST panel at Anime Expo 2008.
I figured people with the Booby fetish would’ve been satisfied with Bazooka Cafe, but I suppose you can never truly satisfy a big booby fan.
