CP chara profiles online

Hmm, thought I should add. The character profiles page can be reached from the products pages for the games. (Just in case you’re like me and went to the downloads page first, then the product page and then missed it while scanning the product page a couple of times… )

I agree with that . It'll be very fun, indeed, to play a "detective" in a sci-fi environment .

How "old" do you mean?? I mean, there's pleny of movies about 007, and with different actors for the man himself, too... would "old" be as far back as when Roger Moore were playing the role as 007? Or Sean Connery, perhaps (I personaly thinks that Sean was/is the very best of the actors who took the role as 007).

Is it just me or does Critical Point has a western sci-fi movie feel to it? Most of the characters are Americans/western (except for the player character, Lai, and Reiko). Also, Does Carla remind anyone of an older Dunan from Appleseed?

Oh, Ok, now I understand what you meant ^^;;.

Hmm, looks like all of the main characters would have one reson or two for being the culprit… I mean, most of them could benefit from the techical malfuntions in a way… For example, lets take Lai Wong; accoring to the profile page, she hates being second to anyone and she doesn’t like Carla Benedict either… but, what if she found out that there is a way to get the base rid of Carla and rise in rank to base commander??? For those reasons, Lai wong might very well be the culprit,; if she caused those techical problems and Carla weren’t able to do anything to prevent it from happening and were removed from her post becuase of her inability to do so, then she could take Carlas post and by “discover” where the problem was, she’d ensure that she stayed on the post after that. Morever, if she managed to create some false edvidence that suggested that Carla was the culprit, not her, then she’d ensure that Carla wouldn’t ever be able to return to the base and she’s also have managed to get Carla accused of treason… Well, just my throughts ^^;;,.

By the way, how many script files has Critical Point???

Speaking about 007, by the way…

The script is about 18000 lines in it's original form.

18000 script files? Okay... hmm, a little less than Tokimeki Check-In... Well, now I'll just sit down and wait for the game, I think .

It's about half of Tokimeki Checkin. However, TCI had almost no repetition in lines, whereas there is some in CP. LMM is rife with repetition - it isn't the quantity of files or lines that makes the games complex, but rather the repetition in dialogue that must be matched while editing.

hummm thats a text book or 2 poor peeps doin all that reading can editing so how many cups of Tea (or coffee) and sleepless nights do you guys go through??

Well, 18000 lines of script are actually a little more than a book, I think ^^;;; A book (or na anime serie) often doesn't cotain much more than a few thousand lines (about 2000-5000, I'd guess...), so it's a lot of work, that...

What The? Right Stuf Intl. has Words Worth listed as March 8th street date.

I just read the list of endings in Critical Pount… looks like we’ll have to be VERY careful ^^;;. But then, again, with that many endings, it’ll surley take a VERY long time to get all endings

Hey, yeah, I’ve just read the ending list too… That’s a LOT of endings! The “Episode 99” confused me a bit, and 26 endings are listed? Episodes 1 to 25 and 99?.

I’m just in the process of downloading the playable demo. I did already pre-order the game though, but if I have a playable demo, it’s another thing that I can put on CD-R to give to my friends to get them into the genre.

16% done, Only 10 hours, 53 mins and 18 seconds to go - I hate 56k.

Well, they warned you at the downloads page, right? - they said tha those who has 56k might not be able to download the demo... 10 hours? It should take me less than a hour to do it

Well, I have already pre-ordered the game (collectors), but I can’t copy and give away the game to friends to get them into bishoujo games, so if I have the demo, I can copy the demo and give them that.

Download time really isn’t an issue for me either, as long as I get it eventually, also, I’m usind Download Accelerator, so the download is resumable when I get dis-connected.

34% - 7 Hours, 34 Minutes, 28 Seconds to go.

Remember you have only a few days to finish your other B-games before CP comes out.

I've alreday pre-odrered the Collectors edition, but still...well, you know, it's had to restrain yourself when you can get a taste of something good .

By the way, about the demo, since it contains 5 of the 25 endings, does tthat mean that you "cut out" some of the paths in the game???

By the way, does anyone know whether the demo is of the collectors edition or the regular version? Just something I forgot to ask in my last post, and the download hasn’t finished yet (60% - 4 hours, 38 minutes, 30 seconds to go! )

It sounds like the demo gives away quite a lot of the game, I’m not sure if that’s a good idea or a bad idea… though if it helps people get into the bishoujo genre, then it’s a good thing. I do know of other developers who’ve used the method of offering large demos to get people interested in the game (Ice Wind Dale comes to mind).

Also, 200MB of files must be quite a strain on bandwidth… That’s also one of the reasons I’m downloading the demo - I can get it to my friends without them having to use more of your bandwidth to download it themselves.

Well, just the demo itself seems to last much longer than X-change, so I assume that the game itself must last much longer...c an't wait to find out when Iplay the original version... but id THAT'S a short game, then... *shudder*...

By the way, Reiko's _very_ cute and the art seems to be much better than what I excepted

Same here. while I think that the demo is cool, I can't hep but thinking that it may give away a littel _too_ much. and it takes time and money to make a demo like this - and I'm not sure if Peach Princess has enough of that...
