Critical point; picture not in game

Hello,

I have just finished playing critical point, and have a question.

There is a picture on the product page that does not appear in the game ( http://www.peachprincess.com/Merchant2/images/cpCEV_81MAL.jpg ). I checked the graphics, and it does not appear (though there is one similar to it).

Is it just a promotional pic that does not appear in the game? Did I miss a path? Or maybe it is from the missing Episode 12?

Guess it’s hard to get an answer for such an old game. I suppose I’ll chalk it up as another unsolved mystery. Thanks anyway

but that pic looks familiar…

isnt that from when the butsh commando girl finds the dead body of her commanding officer/adoptive father-type guy?

or maybe it’s an edit of that pic im thinking of, redesigned for advertisement purposes…

Almost the same. The picture in the game is night-time, showing the flare exploding. The picture on the website is daytime, showing Earth rising.

ok since coolgamer is totally getting on my nerves as of late i have decided to dig into the bottom of this to prevent coolgamer from saying any more stupid and negative doubts, and creating any more unncessary damage

according to peter, that image was indeed a promotional pic that was not used in the game; back several years ago the old staff just worked off the original photoshop files so the image on the website is likely a variation that did not made it to the game in the end

as for episode 12, i didn’t play the game so i can’t say much about it, but after searching for a bit it seems that it was intentionally left out:

i am sure coolgamer would not be convinced with it, so i took the time to search for a japanese walkthrough:

so the image may very well be a pic that was used for episode 12 which was never developed

peter has also confirmed that no content was removed by peach princess for this particular game

Thanks, Lamuness. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing some “secret path” or something (like the secret cow level in Diablo II).
