I know I harp on Black Cyc all the time for being kings of “gothic” settings, but that company isn’t the only one with great titles. :slight_smile:

Lately I’ve been eying Dies irae from Light. A year in production - and it looks and sounds fantastic (audio BGM that is):

If you WANT some Black Cyc level violations, then see Tinkerbell’s magnificent Inyou trilogy - which are just full of twincest. What they lack in plot (which is minimal in them), is more than made up in brutal creativity… if you catch my drift. :wink: Listed in order of release:

For those on a budget, you can’t go wrong with the Lilith/Pixy lineup. Not as heavy on the supernatural (hell… quite a number are futuristic), but they are undeniable experts on dark sexfests. The anime conversions of their games are PERFECT. Let me say that again: PERFECT.

Back on topic, in terms of dark/supernatural games Clockup occasionally delivers, and there’s always Hue with their Mahou Shoujo Ai franchise (recently licensed to MS Pictures), and Touchable for some more tentacles. Newcomers to the scene include Dual Mage and Pink Question, both with a few decent titles; and who could forget Crowd sister brand Anim! Oh, and there’s Liquid too…

A while ago I was looking into 3days from Lass but decided against it in the end. Though it still pops up in my mind every once in a while as a game I have interest in playing one day. Think it’ll fit in with the other suggestions here.

Here’s a new game that seems to fall into at least the supernatural genre called Bullet Butlers. It looks interesting and since this game’s company is with Will there’s a chance it could be licensed. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that it is. Here’s the link:

Actually. I love “Ane Haramix” from Lilith - though it entirely contradicts what you just said:

  • it IS supernatural (=> ultra-cute Shinigami-girl - with more scarier relatives!!)
  • the story is not dark, but rather a light comedy

Okay, I have to agree, the animes for this game (so far three parts) are indeed perfect - or at the very least in-league with other well-made erogame-animes (“Kuro Ai”, “Nikutaiteni”, “Dai Akuji”, …)

But admittedly, most of Lilith’s games are indeed just as you said - as for example “Taimanin Akagi” and “Himekishi Riria”, which have been animated too…

There is one OEL (original English language) game that might fit into this category. Winter Shard (non-H) has supernatural elements, and the game is fairly dark (although it’s rather light in comparison to any of the other titles mentioned here). There are some fairly obvious flaws with the game - for the most part the art quality isn’t that good, and there are quite a few spelling/grammar mistakes, which mar the interesting story. Despite this, I enjoyed the game a lot (although I admit that I might be biased, as my experience with visual novels began with the OEL community), especially given that the majority of the game (script + art) was completed by one person.

  • Tsuki (debatable, because the game itself never tells whether the demon is really a demon or the main character has just a shizophrenia and the demon is the twisted other part of his split personality)

I’m also interested in Hell guide.

Other then that I’m not much of a fan for dark sex fest games (Humiliation ugh) or sex fest games in general but I have to say that I find the OP for Ryoujoku Gakuenchou pretty catchy…I wonder what the lyrics mean…

Last thing:
I have to say that Nitro+ games are great. Beautiful Cg and story.
