Edelweiss: Severe Scene Ordering Bugs

It’s not supposed to be like that. There’s something wrong with your game.

There’s really no install. You just download it, extract it, and activate it. You play directly from those extracted files. You should just try redownloading it, but I’m not sure if that’ll use another activation.

first of Strabo, you post seem to include a spoiler… I haven’t played Mizuki’s route yet.

any way, that aside, he did fall from a bridge… at the begging of the game, just after meeting Ran and having the mad sign board try to kill him… he tryed to through the sign board over the edge, but ended up falling after it.

as for the rest of you post… no idea, only someone who have played the Japanese game will know.

That’s only if they actually write a substantial side-story. Many fan disks offer nothing more than comedic fluff, followed by ample sex (the main focus of the product), and Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia looks to be no exception.

Success! Eventually.

I tried deleting all the files on my computer, and then redownloading the files again, but that didn’t work, it still had the same problems.

Then I tried downloading a cracked copy from a torrent, and that did work.

I’m guessing that Mangagamer tried fixing some typos or something, but ended up adding more bugs when they weer editing the data files.

That’s odd. Mangagamer never released a patch for Edelweiss.

TL;DR:

So I’ve finished Hinatabokko, so I decided to start Edelweiss. It downloads and installs fine, so I start playing.

“That’s odd. I don’t think I’ve seen the game’s OP.” I say, after playing it for a while. It plays fine when I open it from outside the game, though.

“Eh. There seems to be a scene missing here?” I say, while playing thorugh Haruka’s route. I put it down to shoddy writing.

“Wait, so the protagnist is supposed to have fallen from a bridge?” I say, while playing thourgh Mizuki’s route. “It’s mentioned like I’m supposed to already know about it. Have I missed some huge chunk of the game at the beginning? Or is it poor writing again.”

“So, here’s the end of Mizuki’s second sex scene…wait, what?! It’s started again?” The exact same scene repeats.

“Ah, the sex scene’s ended, lets see if we can get on with the rest of the game…uh…this transistion makes no sense.” Suddenly, I’m in a building I don’t recognise, and Mizuki has a cold. “How did that happen? There’s something majorly screwed up here!”

“What?!” Suddenly, Mizuki is a cripple, and the characters are talking about an accident, but I haven’t read anything about an accident. “This makes no sense.”

Clearly, someone here has been acting like a schizophrenic muppet here, but wether it’s Mangagamers or the original producers I can’t say. (Or perhaps it’s me. Did I install it incorrectly?) Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Edit: Removed the spoiler, but it’s a bit too late now.

I’m having the same problem as you.
I just started the game. the intro movie never plays. After seeing an intro scene I see some scene with the boys and Haruka’s clone? ( where’d she comes from?) I see that scene TWICE. Then my game skips ahead to the summer vacation beach, the school sleepover and the final 2 choices

I’m going to wait for the fixed version on September 10. The reason it was taken down according to them was a ‘Programming error’ which makes sense, plus they might update the text.

any way, if everything does check out, try to delete your saved files and run the VN again.
