Eeek! What happened to AngelSmile's site?!

Their website is gone!

http://www.cd-bros.co.jp/coolcrew/

I noticed this when wanting to get a wallpaper from Figures of Happiness.

That’s strange. Zyx’s and Trabulance’s sites are still up, and the link to AngelSmile on Zyx’s page (same url) is broken too.

That’s normal. Many Japanese sites give Links to defunct Software Houses (the first example that comes to my mind is Megami, because I want to buy their last game -try the Demos in my first Link, if even you are interested in this game-), but, for English B-gamers, Digital Monkey is a more infamous example.

Oopss, double post…

Take a look at this: http://www.cd-bros.co.jp/brand.html

AngelSmile no longer has a link there. Looks like they’ve gone under…

Where do we find the wallpapers and other graphics now? I was lucky to have one on a floppy so I could have it at school.

archive.org has most of their website still available here:

But of course, the wallpapers were too big, so they haven’t been archived.

By the way, anyone else think that AngelSmile’s logo resembles Peach Princess’?

changes his signature

Damn that sucks, angelsmile made some pretty good game

RIP AngelSmile

Come to think of it, why aren’t Zyx and other companies that used to be associated with the CD Bros. label linked to anymore? We know that Zyx is still active, for instance. I also see some brand labels on the site I don’t recognize from before. Did some sort of reorganization occur within CD Bros.? Perhaps AngelSmile just relocated?

That’s a good question.

Actually, I just found D.O. and ZyX still on the links-page of CD Bros. Label Sekilala...

Actually, ZyX and D.O. aren’t part of the umbrella group that is CD-Bros. I believe they do have some kind of working association with them, which is why they share so many links with one another.

Okay, that clears up some of my confusion. Let me ask you this: is it true, as some say, that G-Collections is (was?) essentially CD-Bros. USA? Or are you allowed to say?

We’ve saved everything and plan to put it up on the new G-C site when it’s done.

To be honest, I don't know. A lot of Japanese gamemakers appearently have subsidiaries that make bishoujo games. They are very strident in denying connections, and I wouldn't be suprised it there was denial of connections between US and Japan subsideriaies too. (How many know that Koei and Enix had a hand in the Bishojo Gaming market?) I don't think it was so much a subsidary as it was a sort of an alliance distribution company. I can't exactly say why, just a feeling, but if it was a front company, it was for something much more than just CD-Bros.

Necromancy! Necromancy! But there’s a point. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just brought to my attention that the Megami line has been bought and partly resurrected:

Mostly it seems to be the titles by a certain artist… but something is better than nothing, eh?
