Eroge Europe

Looks like a legit store for European erogers. Selection seems limited though.

Anyone here ever do business with them?

Not sure if ordering from these guys would save money, avoid customs, etc.

I’m just an American Pig-Dog afterall.

… It means that they won’t sell beyond France.

Regardless that, it’s not even interesting if you don’t live in France since you’ll have to pay the VAT if you order from another country (even an european country).

I always use Archonia.com (located in Belgium) for my games. Fast delivery (if you use a credit card). 8)

Check if they send to your country: http://www.archonia.com/index.php?page=shipping

Those are great news for me, who’s really scared of customs. I have a few questions for the more experienced, though.
Out of that tiny selection, which ones have fan translation patches, that I might apply on them?
Which ones are voiced?
And finally which ones are not blatantly hostile towards eroero pervs like myself? Because I read once on this forum, that (I think) the Kanon writer(s) said they absolutely hated the ero scenes, which I found offensive. Obviously, I’m not looking to buy an eroero game, they clearly don’t have one on their list. But I’m not going to buy a game after such statements by its developers.

Everything apart from Shuffle!, School Days and AIR has a completed fan-translation (and all three of those games are or were being translated). The quality and accuracy of the translations varies a lot, but they are all readable and you’ll be able to follow the story from them. From those with completed translations, only ONE and CLANNAD are voiced. (The Planetarian translation isn’t designed to work with the voiced CD version though - more information here).

With Kanon (and ONE), the ero-scenes are probably 1-2% of the overall game, and are fairly short and non-descript. Fate has longer ero-scenes (still only 1-2% of the overall game), but the writing for those scenes is absolutely horrible, not to mention the situations they take place in and the reasons for including them. The same pretty much applies to Utawarerumono - although the scenes are shorter and the text is marginally better, they really harm, rather than help the game. CLANNAD and Planetarian are both all-ages games. So in short, all of the games are pretty ero-hostile. (and out of everything I’ve played, those would probably be the games that I’d nominate as having the worst ero-scenes :P)

Damn, that’s disappointing. :frowning: I’m guessing Shuffle!, School Days and AIR are equally ero-dry, then? I was kinda hoping to reward myself for reaching the 1000 kanji mark by buying an eroge in japanese, but I wanted something with lots of ero. Ah well, I’ll still be buying Utawarerumono since at least the character art was particularly pleasing (and it’s the only one in stock besides Planetarian…).

There’s always DLsite! I think there are fan translations for a few Dark Lilith games, which are certainly packed to the brim with ero, if a little too rapey for my tastes…

I wouldn’t call “School Days” ‘ero-dry’. >_<

Actually, I’m checking prices, and they DO seem to have the cheapest prices out of the 3 retailers I know of within the EU. I didn’t check their shipping prices, though.

Happy to hear that, too bad it’s not in stock yet. :frowning:

Ah well, the art for those games isn’t quite what I like. I subscribe to the “non-monstrous breasts” fanclub. :stuck_out_tongue: Anyway, DLsite does have quite some variety, but I’m still too wary of using my credit card in a site, whose language I hardly understand. It will have to wait until I’m further in my studies

??? It’s listed, though.
Otherwise, hahahaha, I wonder whether France is a really a profitable market for erogees. I should go and talk with the guy.

…his catalogue is a bit too small for me to ever consider using him, but…

Well, let’s not forget that France is probably manga’s biggest stronghold in Europe. A couple of years ago (Edit: Actually, a lot more than a couple of years ago, more like 10 years if I remember correctly), I recall watching some french softcore porn on TV, where the main character was drawing japanese-styled comics and was practicing with a katana. :stuck_out_tongue:
I mean, it has to be big if there are manga references even in porn there.

It’s the second biggest manga market after Japan itself, and has the biggest anime/manga convention outside Japan (135,000 people last year, dwarfing AnimeExpo’s 43,000).

But, erogames? I wouldn’t bet on it! In fact, I’m quite surprised there’s a big enough erogee community here to sustain a store (i.e. not made of the usual game pirates).

I should set up a store! :o

Oh, I had no clue there was a retailer in the UK. But, since there is no domestic retailer in my country, Eroge-Europe seems like the best choice. I AM surprised there are so many eroge sellers in Europe. I thought Archonia was the only choice out there up until recently.
