However, you are a fast player for sure ! Me, I buy a new game every few months, and I tend to replay/reinstall the majority of my old erogames (I'm re-playing Saimin Gakuen, for example, since its installation on my computer... in 2003!).
I've two questions for you:
1) Can you say something about the Gore Screaming Show Side Story Disk? Is it a bonus scenario? I've bought a few Yami no Koe DVDPG's in the past, and I've noticed Sayoko and her mansion on the cover of the Side Story Disk.
2) Where is your Legend of Kage article? Your site gives a wrong Link.
Keep up the Great Work!

Don’t let me fool ya, I’m not all that fast.

Most of the games I review were played at least six months ago. I reinstall them, do a quick run through with the various saves I have stored on my backup CD-RW (mostly to refresh my memory), and write up the review. I sorta have a large selection, because two years ago, I had a Japanese friend who “traded” collections with me, then he introduced me to another fellow several months back who “traded” collections again. Sorta like a “gamer’s ring” I suppose… we keep our uber favorites though (like MinDeaD BlooD and Moekko Company for myself); but suggest how utterly good they are.

I totally forgot about that! I’ll fix it soon (with the planned typo correction).

The GSS Side Story is an alternate plotline: What if Kyouji didn’t return to his birth town? Since his reappearance is a key factor of the plot, everything changes. As such, the side story opens that the three girls walk to the edge of town and discover a mansion that they don’t remember ever being there. Curiosity kicks in, they enter the grounds, and… well… their depravity begins.

It does make an interesting item though. While not “canon” in the setting’s timeline, it means Yami no Koe is somehow set within the Gore Screaming Show and MinDeaD BlooD universe. I’ve never played the series, but now I intend too.

Sadly, the side story was only available as a preorder to GSS, and it can’t be bought. It was also limited issue. Only a few thousand were made. I sorta didn’t want to mention it because not everyone will have a chance to play it unless they find a Torrent or something - but its such a cool item.

Oops! Gotta fix that too.

Like your reviews, they give some very good info on the games. Just curious but what do you know of the following bishoujo games (and could you consider reviewing them?)

Bible Black
Kao no Nai Tsuki
Kikokugai
Utawarerumono
Saya no Uta
Kizuato

I have Utawarerumono in my desk. Once I’ve cleared my current plate, I’ll get started on it.

I’ll ask my friend if he has any of the others on your list. In the event he does, I’ll add it to my list of game to play.

I’m hoping to have the next set of reviews ready Saturday or Sunday. Kinda running slow, as work has been irregular this week.

The articles will be for Kwai na Shock, Mayonaka wa Ware no Mono, and Miko Miko Nurse. I’ve completed those games, but still have to finish the actual articles.

Currently playing (in no particular order): Futari de Hitotsu no Koigokoro , Hazama no Tsuki, and Kuruizaki Virgin Road.

Wow, another review after Suzukuri (Tsu Tsukuri? And Blood or Brad?) Dragon. I find very interesting to see multiple opinions. I hope you read/appreciated the various reviews of this Forum, too .

I do, I do. It's great to read other people's reviews on games that I've played before, because it gives me perspective on my own views.

As for the romaji thing: One of my biggest weakness with Japanese, is the whole "Western" name thing. Take the Brad/Blood name for example: Since it's ƒuƒ‰ƒbƒh (Bu-raa-do), arguably either works. Normally I can cheat, because the Japanese site will have the official English spelling, but not that particular game. Still... considering even the almighty translators at Squaresoft got Aeris/Aerith all screwed up, I don't feel so bad. In any case, I stuck with "Brad" because its a Euro-centric name, and everyone else in the game seems to follow that pattern. Nonetheless, I'm always open to corrections.

Ya know, say what you will about the violent content in their titles, but you can't deny they have some of the best voice actors in the business under their roof. One of my (minor) gripes for Gore Screaming Show - good as it was - is that the VA's don't really scream at the parts they should. Not the ones at Assemblage. Those ladies really scream in the sound booths - and that's a dangerous feat for a voice actor, as it can damage their vocal cords (probably why the ones at Black Cyc don't do it). As such, I kinda follow their titles. Not to mention, I've seen a lot more abusive things, so the genre is not all that offensive to me. I mean, look at American movies like Hostle and the new The Hills Have Eyes. Granted, no sex, but their just as violent.

Well... back to the grid.

Heh! Well, being hearing impared, I can't really say whenever a voice's done masterfully or not - But I agree,t he screaming in Assemblage games are usually quite something XD.

Dunno about the "abusive level thorugh. But you have apoint; as a friend pointe dout to me once; american movies can be shockingly violent O_o;;;.

Anyway, ganbatte kudasai!

Two out of three planned articles are up:

Kwai na Shock!
http://www.elizar.com/?p=14

Mayonaka wa Ware no Mono
http://www.elizar.com/?p=16

My laptop crashed just as I saved the Miko Miko Nurse article, so it was lost. I will do a rewrite, but that will take me a bit to reassemble everything.

On a side note, Cecile and Anastasia make a cameo apparition in Hanakyuu's omake cards, too. Hanakyuu was released only four months after Kwai na Shock! (in April 2004 -your "late 2004" reference needs a little revision -), but its Quality Level seems much lower, if compared to its predecessor. Therefore, although I originally believed that Kwai na Shock! too was another commercial fiasco -at least-, I'm now pleased to know of its relatively high quality.

Truly a disaster, in my opinion (you have spoiled me SO much ... ).
In my case, I always write on paper my reviews, and only later I use the computer. It's more time-consuming, but very safe.

Edit: Where's the "Free Demo Material" for Kwai na Shock! (your Links are broken)?

Heh... I didn't know that. I did notice that the company is defunct though. I suppose MEGAMI spend too much of an investment on Kwai na Shock, and the title didn't rake in the $$$ as they hoped. Seen it happen before to other companies...

Omedetou! You certainly puts the game in quite another perspective than myself Xp.

Althrough I've got to ask if you really have to use ending-CG's for previews here? I know, if there is a flaw that Assemblage games has, it is that they doesn't have many event-CG's expect for sexual ones and yet, don't you thinkt his'd kinda spoil the surprise for those who'd play this game? Besides, there's at least one CG you could have used instead of an ending-CG...

Oh, and while we're still on the subject of Assemblage-games, there's one thing I quite like about their games: the pregancy-endings. I'm kinda tired of the fact that in so many "training-games", you can come like hundreds of times inside the "victim" and yet there's no consequences of that. Pretty unrealistic, even if I can understand the idea behind this. And yet, in this regard, I prefer things being a bit more realistic, like they are in most assemblage-games: If you come inside, there will most likely be a pregnancy...

Most likely? That depends on the time of the month, and even when it is the ‘right’ time there’s still only a chance.

Then we also have the possibility of the girl taking the pill.

That's true and yet it is something too seldom shown in most b-games for my liking. Still, you have a point...

Of course, through in general - at least for kichiku-games - the girl in question often deosn't have many chances or opportunies for that - and would probably not be using it in the beginning of the game in question, at least. Also, of coruse the pill isn't a 100% guranteed way of protection.

In the next day or two, I’ll have the articles for Miko Miko Nurse and Pigeon Blood uploaded.

I would assume quite a number of you guys have heard of Miko Miko Nurse, given that weird Internet fad it experienced a few years back.

Pigeon Blood is a series that caters to the supporters of titles like Mayonaka wa Ware no Mono. In spite of myself, I enjoyed the story… not that I hate this particular genre of eroge; its just that I’m not a huge fan of it.

On the note of Mayonaka: I’ll go about replacing the sample illustrations soon.

Goes back to playing more twincest

Oh, I have that one too; pretty nice game, and an amazing amount of trainings - but a pity it's only _one_ girl available for training and even more a pity that there's no CG for the "comptetions"...

Ganbatte!

I’ve noticed your new FAQ (and a few other things ), and I’ve a few questions:

1) Death Meta:

quote:
Originally posted by Nargrakhan:
I’ve actually played Death Meta before. Unfortunately, it was right after I finsihed Tsukihime and MinDeaDBlooD (two of the best “vampire” eroge out there), so I didn’t think too highly of the title and traded it away as soon as I could.(…)

If the person I traded it to was still around, I’d try to make a review of it on my site… but alas, it’s not to be so…

But Death Meta is listed in your “How many eroge games do you own?” section. Does it mean that maybe we’ll see a review of it in the future? It would be very useful, because I’m sure that Death Meta will be translated, if Will permits…

2) Futari de Hitotsu no Koigokoro:
Re-reading your initial request, I’ve noticed that you got this game in almost no time. It’s because you live in Guam, or you use some good Japanese shop which sells overseas (I’m searching some source of erogames just now)? Any suggestions?

3) Kusabi:
I’ve read of this game years ago (a GX review), and I’m still VERY curious about the motives of the father of the protagonist. Can you reveal his secret? And does it make sense, too?

Thank you!

The articles for Futari de Hitotsu no Koigokoro and Kuruizaki Virgin Road are complete. I’m also working on Hazama no Tsuki as I post this, and I’ll do my best in having it ready in a few more hours.

I also did a little minor cleaning and updating with the older reviews: correcting broken links, adding available patches, correct spellings of names, and listing “free demo” materials for titles that previously lacked them (Ijjite Princess for example).

I’m still a bit peeved that my articles for Miko Miko Nurse and Pigeon Blood aren’t ready yet. I even started on them first.

Futari de Hitotsu no Koigokoro
http://www.elizar.com/?p=8

Kuruizaki Virgin Road
http://www.elizar.com/?p=15

A few days after writing that post, I decided to go ahead and buy another copy of the title if I could find it in a bargin bin. Lo-and-behold, I did.

I fully intend to write a review for it, and that was the reason why I sought the title out. I started playing it again about a week ago.

Guam is only three hours away from Japan by plane, so I order titles via mail and get them within two or three days. In the past, I ordered through a vendor in Akihabara, but since he closed down, I use Himeya Shop from time to time. On rare occassions, my job lets me fly to Japan at no costs.

Ya know, that’s one of the few titles I have yet to complete. It was given to me as a joke gift, and from time to time I’ve tried to win it, but I’m not the type who likes that kind of game. Still, since it gives me some insight into the whole “opposite side” of the market, I’m going to see all the endings. So far, I’ve only gotten the bad ends, mostly because I’m toying around - but I suppose its about time I tried another serious round in the near future.

EDIT
Meh… I’m not liking how the article for Hazama no Tsuki sounds, so I’ll give it another shot in the afternoon (it’s 1:56 AM here in Guam). Now as a quick recap of my current activities (more for myself than anything else):

Writing reviews for Hazama no Tsuki, Miko Miko Nurse, and Pigeon Blood. Currently playing Death Meta, Mayonaka wa Owari Waranai (more twins, hurray!), and Utawareru Mono. I need to finish coding the WIKI section of my site, and there are a few non-eroge items to upload (fanshrines and whatnot). Whew! Talk about back load. =P~

Finally finished that article. Kinda late, and I’m tired, so if there’s grammar or spelling errors I missed, I’ll fix them in the morning.

Hazama no Tsuki
http://www.elizar.com/?p=10

I do have a sorta selfish request. The protagonist in the game… I don’t know his name. I’m really terrible with kanji (which is another reason why I play eroge games), so I have this issue in translating it. Furthermore, no one calls him by name at all, so I don’t even get a phonetic hint.

Here’s a screen capture of the name:

http://www.elizar.com/ht.jpg

Driving me wild to be honest. Watch it be something stupid and easy.

Thank you for the review. Regarding "“¬é"V”, my JWPce dictionary gives two results: Hiroshi or Hiroyuki.
