Getting Started
First up, familiarize yourself with the forum rules. They’re there to ensure general harmony and the safety of our users.
Profile Customization
Click on the gear icon at the top right of the screen and select “Edit Profile.” This page will allow you to customize your profile, change your email address and password, update your profile picture, and more.
Change Your Profile Picture
- Click on your profile picture on any page to go to your profile view.
- Mouse over the large profile picture on the left hand side of the page, then click on “Change Picture”.
- Click on “Browse” to find an image on your computer or device.
- Once you’ve selected an image it will be uploaded.
- You’ll be taken to a page where you can view the image, edit your thumbnail, delete the image, or upload a new image. You don’t need to click the “Upload” button unless you select a new image from this page.
Posting
Posting uses Markdown, a readable formatting syntax, for all posts. You can find everything you need in the button bar, but as you become more accustomed to Markdown you might simple type it as you go. Here are some of the main ones:
**Bold** gives you Bold
_Italics_ give you Italics
~~Strike~~ gives you Strike
For lists, on a new line type 1. Item 1, 2. Item 2, 3. etc... which will give you:
- Item 1 (don’t forget a blank line before this line.)
- Item 2
- etc…
Unordered lists use * instead of 1.
