G-Collection's Games

Hi,

Does anyone know if the characters of these games have English, Japanese, or no voice?

Thanks

That depends on which game. Most older games have no voices, but in most of the newer games, all female characters are voiced. In a few rare cases, even male characters have a voice, but in such cases it's for the most part only the male main character which you play who has a voice... For example, in X-change 2 which Peach Princess will release, the male version of the main character has a voice, but other male characters don't, even through they according to Ijuin have big roles enough for that part...

Zorian: Sorry, but I was VERY hungry at the moment I said it, so it’s only fair that someone else should be hungry too . Besides, don’t they say that “Hungry wolves hunts best”? (just saw Brotherhood of the Wolf )

Woodelf: Ahh… one can only dream … Thanks, now I suddenly gets this image of Kumi-chan (tokimeki check-in) who knocks on my door and asks me to share a pizza with her

“Erm, excuse me? Kumi would like to share a Pizza with Spectator-san…”

Nandemonai: I see… I kinda feel the same about that, it wouldn’t be the same to use such a translation, but if there was nothing better, then I’d choose to use the translation anyway…

If there was nothing better, then I wouldn't play it on the assumption that good things will eventually see domestic release, and if I've experienced a game before I almost never get the same initial feeling out of it again; hence I prefer to leave such works unspoiled, so to speak.

You mean that if you for example played Utawarerumono using a fantranslated Word-script, and you then heard that G-collections were releasing
Utawarerumono in English, it wouldn't feel as fun to buy and play Utawarerumono as it would have been if you hadn't touched the fantranslated sript??

There are some spelling and grammatical errors. Still, they are not that noticable. In fact there were two things that stand out for me. First off, whenever someone asks if they can do something, they always say, "Can I...." That starts every elemental school teacher I ever had start shouting in my head, "I don't know, can you?" Still, even most people who a natural English speakers rarely say, "May I..." so I cannot really blame them. The second think is, sometimes, and I especially noticed this in Kango Shichyauzo is sometimes their choice of words is, well, strange. For example, in Kango, they refer to "bedpan" as a "urine pot", a "shopping mall" as a "shopping arcade" and medical "instruments" as "tools". Also, I noticed a couple of instances where someone was talking to or about two people and "all" was used instead of "both." Still, I would have to give the translation high marks. I have certainly seen worse, and it is most certainly better than anything I could do. It is still easily understandable, and that is what really matters.

Thanks, I think I can live with those small errors . Not that it would do much difference to me anyway; since I'm not 100% fludent in english, I'd probably not notice 75% of the grammar errors (I've never throught of the "Can I - May I" thing for example, I use these more or less as I see it fit ^^;; ...

This sure got long, anyway, most companies translating games are linked to Japanese companies and tend to only do the games of the companies with whom they have made arrangements. I do not know exactly what G-Collections is doing, however, I would bet that any future games they translate would most likely be from D.O. or Turbulance or another company whose title they have already done. That is just my guess though. Even if they do not have a formal relationship with those companies, those companies have already expressed a willingness to allow their titles to be translated.

Yeah, an english company that wants to bring over japanese adult bishoujo games here in the West does indeed seem to need a "father company" in order to bring any titles here in the west. Much unlike what the anime companies who releases here in the west does; it seems like any company can pick up any anime title from any japanese company...
Well, if G-collections releases more of D.O's games that's fine by me since many of them seems more thna okay . For example Destiny, their newest game (http://www.gamelexgs.com/gameinfo/2002/ ... /index.htm) seems quite okay, and a couple of others by them also looks good . The same goes for Trabulance; there is two games made by them that looks interesting: and .
But I also hope we'll see games from other companies than just D.O. and Trabulance (there's a chance that we might see more stuff from Zyx, for example)

By the way, how many endings is there in Kana? Six?

[This message has been edited by Spectator Beholder (edited 07-08-2002).]

Six endings? Ok, thanks .

And you’tre welcome for that part about Zyx . I hope that we’ll see Fortuna here…

Ok… That emans that I’ll have to look long and hard for all of those once I get the game . Not that I think it will take too long, you guys seems to have found all the endings alreday…

Hmm, this might not bode well for the future… Today I recreived my free gift for taking part in G-collections survey (got DO’s “Tentacle poster”… I’d better not put it on the wall in my room, if so I’d risk scaring my little sisters ^^; . But if it takes about 3 weeks for a gift from G-collections to arrive here, then how long do you think it might take for Kana to arrive here?

I took the survey a long time ago, but never received a poster >_< with my order.

Put it somewhere in your closet . If you do that, you don't need to worry about that someone who shouldn't have seen the poster sees it, and you can still open the closet any time and watch how beautiful it it .

Thanks, Nobody . I'll be praying for Kana to arrive on Tuesday, 'then

I noticed some people said tehy received chain and in nai kan sen clear folders.

I ended up receiving a You must ilke a horny bunny, and a in nai kan sen clear file.

Would anyone be willing to scan me in a pick of the Chain clear folder??? Or better yet, wanna sell me one? if not scan, at least tell me which character is on it,

Thanks,
Shaun

I think, Gin Iro was much the same.

How would’ve you felt at that certain bathroom event? Is it safe to guess you wouldn’t be as traumatized as Taka?

Sorta off topic but, has anybody else tried submitting the info of these games to gamefaqs? Tried twice a while ago, but CjayC doesn’t seem to want to put them up. (…well that’s the impression I get because everytime the info is caught up it still isn’t listed. ) Bleh, I’d like to post a review of Chain and Kana there.

No, it hasn’t reached me yet . But it’s saturday today, and here in Sweden, no mail comes on Saturday/Sunday, so I wound’t except it to reach here before monday/tuesday at earliest. I got an e-mail confirmation from G-collections last monday, so I know at least that it is on it’s way here.

Valastati - They were put up, I think it was just backlog.

Nobody - Ack! While the tracks weren’t anything spectacular, they did fit the mood.
