When I first saw this thread I though Narg was saying that the galge (genre) was dead, but the site had been slowing down for a while. They don’t really do anything for me that getchu doesn’t, apart from sometimes (rarely) having come extra details of older titles that getchu didn’t cover, so I wasn’t particularly concerned.
I liked that they would upload art from artists and have custom wallpapers. That was really nice.

I’d assume so, because getchu have been having lots of problems lately, http://cl3.getchu.com/ for example works and accessing the site through a proxy makes no difference.

Getchu has begun systematically blocking Western IP addresses: they’ve been selectively blocking for well over a year, and just expanded their blanket. Japanese IP’s are not getting that 410 error whatsoever.

Did some more poking on Getchu.
It’s visually showing the 410 error page, but I’m actually seeing 403 Forbidden in the stream.
Only my JPNIC address is not generating the rejection.
It’s an active block, not a redirection issue.
Tried http://www.ijapan.org/red/ , and now I see all the ‘vanished’ Getchu pages.
If I’m not mistaken, only the Adult site is off limits to foreigners, but although I can live without Getchu, that ‘410 ERROR’ deception is REALLY irritating :evil: …
