I’ve noticed that quite a few games have mostly slideshow of images. Are there any with actual video for certain scenes or animated graphics at least?
Depends what you count as video, some of the games such as Do You Like Horny Bunnies? 1 and 2 technically has some animated scenes, but it is basically a loop of images during certain scenes only and at that it is arguable if they are really needed.
Brave Soul has a nice animated opening. Utawareru Mono also has a very nice animated opening that changes half way through the game. Looping CGs isn’t animation. I don’t really care for the looping CGs in Bunnies.
Pretty much aside from a couple of games that have the animated openings (Chain also had a good one), I have seen nothing other than the looping pics to simulate animation within a game (again, the only one of those I have is Chain). I think that the problem lies in how much time and money would be involved in actually animating all the hentai scenes in a game.
They’d probably never do it or cannot do it, but it would be interesting if they could somehow animate an game that has the fluid moving anime style of motion. As with the games we know keep most of it so the characters look right at the camera when talking to us, the PC, yet make the difference in when you make a choice. When you make your choice it continues the fluid anime motion but jumps to whatever scene would follow your choice. It would basically be a subtitled CYOA anime, which might be very hard to do and prohibitive for a CD game at least, due to space, memory and other programming factors.
Still perhaps something they could do for a DVD game some day since they do have the animated openings on the aforementioned games?

Well, there are games already like that out there. I think one of them was called Miss Each Other. Something like that. Do a search on the forums, the link’s in here somewhere.

Yeah, I remember reading here about one as well. It required 1.5 Ghz (!) though.
Maybe they should make a hentai anime first then take the anime material and create a game with it. Hey it works the other way around But besides Zyx with there looping animation, and didn’t desire have some animation, most are static images only.
Yeah, Desire had a handful of very short animated clips. I’d almost hesitate to count them, since, if you blinked, you might miss the action
There really are not a lot of companies with true animation in them. Most of them, as you have pointed out, just use looping cels and that’s about as good as it gets.
There aren’t any U.S. released games like that, but they have several in Japan.
Jam Creation makes games that are basically like an anime. All of the 3-D game makers make animated games, naturally, since they are rendered real-time. For instance, Tea Time or Illusion Soft.

Really? Jam Creation makes games that are like an anime? I had previously argued such a thing would be prohibitively difficult so nobody would try. Are they doing well? Are their games very linear?

Jam Creation just came out with another game title, so they are still alive at least. I haven't played their games, however. Here's the link to the Ainos page, and you can access the rest of their site fom there:
