Gibo, and Will's Crazy Labels

Hey everyone. I don’t know if this topic has been beaten to death before in the past, but I was just curious as to everyone’s opinion of Gibo. I know it’s a while off, but I’m kinda looking forward to it. It’s story certainly seems a bit… off… but I have far fewer qualms about such things than I do in real life.

I find the CG a bit odd. The characters have minor changes in appearance in certain shots… like the style of the eyes changes. At least, that’s how it seems to me. Ah well, not THAT big of a deal. I’m looking to see how the “question the nature of love” idea comes off in the game.

Whether you are looking forward to, dreading, or indifferent to Gibo, could anyone possibly tell me what the various themes of each of Will’s labels are?

I know Sweet Basil has the kind of cute, warm, snuggly, bring the girlfriend over and play kinda games. Guilty’s got the dark, taboo, bring the girlfriend over, tie her up and make her watch you play kinda games.

I don’t know about Ruf, Rouge, and Pulltop though. Slave Bazaar is Ruf, but I can’t quite figure out what the themes for those three are, though Pulltop does seem to be kind of zany fun. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I’m kind of looking forward to Gibo too, althrough I don’t really like the artstyle used in Gibo (as well as many other of Guilty’s games), but it looks like an interesting game .

Well, don’t konow all that much about Ruf and Rouge… Ruf seems to have created some quite “dark” games, too, but from what I’ve heard, in most of their games, you can choose if you want to walk a “evil-natured” or a “good-natured” path, but I don’t know much more.

And I know even less of Rouge. Two of their games are slave-training-sims just like Dokusen (Kairaku and Utsushiki hime) don’t know anything about their third game, except that it’s rumored to be a quite hardcore-focused game. Their most recent game seems to be a “pure love” game, but I don’t know much about that either ^^;;. No knowledge about pulltop, except for the fact that it’s Will’s most “recent” company

i was a little unsure about Gibo until I found out more about it…it looks really interesting to me, and I’ve already pre-ordered it (and every other PeaPri title available for pre-order!)

I am not a nit-picker about the artwork style…almost all anime-style is beautiful to me, except the really old style from the 70’s that you see in early Gundam and such…
as a matter of fact, my big fetish in real life is anime characters in general…i’m always getting crushes on anime and bishoujo and video game characters the only actual porn i watch is anime porn

i always look at everything i try with an open mind, not expecting it to be anything like anything else i’ve seen…i take everything on its own merits, which is probably why i get more enjoyment out of lots of things than most people who constantly compare apples to oranges and end up disappointed because what they’re looking at is a papaya

Ah, ladyphoenix, someone after my own heart. I especially love pretty much all the characters CLAMP creates.

Gibo looks terribly interesting to me, and the characters look terribly creepy (especially the brown haired, green eyed gal in the bluish-purple suit). Yum.

Anyway, about Will’s labels, thanks for the info. I seem to have guessed correctly about them, but I was a bit curious as to why Slave Bazaar was in Ruf as opposed to Rouge. Rouge to me called up the idea of decadence, which Slave Bazaar certainly seems to have, but since it’s third party, it makes more sense now.

You know, I was wondering why that apple tasted so funny...

Actually, that is a good outlook on things. I know I enjoyed "The Phantom Menace" more than my friends because I went to the movie with less "expectations". (I wish I could go without any expectations at all but I'm chronically incapable of that.)

Err, Infernal Zebra-san, I'm guessing you're attracted to "creepy"? Sorry, just not used to someone describing characters as "terribly creepy" then following that statement with "Yum".

Well, I'm attracted to far too many things for my own good, at times. ^_^ I like mostly sweet, cutesy things (a la Little My Maid)... so much so that my friend nicknamed me Shoujo Boy, before his own mysterious addiction to sweet and cutesy anime. Then again, the same friend has said I either a) lack a conscience entirely or b) am everyone else's evil conscience. The matter is still up for debate.

Regardless, at least in this instance, I am attracted to the rather creepy elements that make up Gibo. And Mio has just the right combination of things, at least from the few pictures I've seen from her, that have made me get a crush on her. Keika and Honami were much the same way in Snow Drop.

She may end up being a holy terror, but (feel free to quote me on this if you compile a Famous Last Words collection) I can handle her.

I do want to see Maple, but alas, I have neither a Japanese operating system nor nearly enough Japanese language skill at the moment. However, it is interesting to note that "kawaii" and "kowai" (the Japanese word for "scary") are eerily similar.

Huh? I through that only one of the girls (the yellow-eyed one) is
a robot?

Hmm, have you by the way throught of one thing? While four of Wills five labes seems to have offered at least one title with a fantasy theme, all of Guiltys titles seems to be “everyday” titles…
