So Littlewitch Romanesque is up for preorder now. I made this thread to discuss the game. Here’s the announcement and the preorder page. I am curious about the price though; less than twenty bucks seems a little low?
I do notice in the sample CG that they seem to have left the more loli parts in; I know there was some concern it might be censored. Has there been an official statement on that? Doddler? Makoto?
Price is totally fubar… webpage says price is 40 for packaged and 35 for DL… website only lists XX for either edition. Think the webstore has the wholesale cost and not the retail price. =)
Yeah I already preordered back when first announced and it was definitely 35 or 40 bucks.
Do any of you know a good place to find gameplay video for Littlewitch? I understand that this is a VN where the dice-battle gameplay element is pretty strong and prevalent, but the YouTubery is scarce with this one. About all I could find is a few tracks from the soundtrack and a single trailer for the “Editio Perfecta”, but that mainly featured CG art and virtually no in-game battle.
I’d also be interested in hearing more opinions about this game in general from the forum, as I’m kind of on the fence about preordering it. On the one hand, the limited edition features look really nice, and I love the art style. (Beautiful!) On the other, I don’t feel like I really understand what the battle system is like, and I’m a little uneasy about what looks to be a strong loli emphasis (not really my thing). Also, thoughts on the story?

I’v read 2 VNs from Littlewitch and both were great, IMO. So I’m quite sure I will enjoy this one, too.
Golden master now. If I’m not mistaken, that means Jast will have released 3 games this year? (Unless Hanachirasu goes golden master in a week or two, or something.) Stein’s Gate, that nanpa game they released at AX, and this one.

Oh, and I also forgot that Jast released the My GF Is The Prez fandisc this year. So that’s actually 4 titles.
I was thinking of promoting this game. The following are necessary promotional materials that should be made available before the game launches:
Download codes ship Monday. Oddly, Jast seems to have pcked this game for its first Greenlight attempt. (I’d’ve thought they’d be trying to get Steins;Gate up there. It would do really well.)
Seeing this game on Steam Greenlight is pretty exciting. Apparently the gameplay is pretty strong, so I expect it to do well.

5pb is probably blocking a Steam release of Steins;Gate.
Yeah, if it’s anywhere near as good as it looks, it will do just fine. The only problem I can see is if people see the artwork, and the fact that it’s originally an 18+ game, and throw a fit.
I sort of figured there had to be some kind of hold-up on the Japanese end.
The guys with the PS3/Vita version seem to have gotten their TL directly from the Japanese end, so 5pb seems to be driving it entirely. I just want to play the other games in the series. Hell, I’d even be interested in playing the dating-sim version of Steins;Gate (Hiyoku Renri no Darling) even though one of the things that makes S;G so good is the plot.

I heard they were selling both an all-ages version and an adult version. How do I tell which one this is if there isn’t at least one H-CG shown on the preorder page?
The censored version they’re trying to Greenlight on Steam isn’t the Editio Perfecta. It’s the Editio Regia.
Has anyone gotten their download code? I haven’t. I thought they had an automated download system now and they didn’t have to manually create them anymore?
The game appears to have been available on the JAST store for several hours, judging by VNDB posts. My preorder on J-List has not processed. I tweeted JAST USA and submitted a ticket at J-List. It’s possible JAST’s order system is automated and J-List’s is not, or that the systems are not synchronized.

My order processed yesterday evening, about 8hrs after the first person reported getting their’s. They really should automate their entire system so it’s all synched and all codes go out simultaneously within a 1hr period.
