Got a song stuck in your head? Talk about it here!

Let’s get right to the point: I have a song stuck in my head (which is something that happens all too often…). If you’ve already seen the other thread I recently started, you know that I currently have a thing for a character named Shinobu. Well, beyond that, I also have the end theme to the show she’s from stuck in my head. I currently have it on single track repeat, something I find helps. While it’s not the full version, here is the song as played in the end sequence to the anime its from. The song is called ??? (Kurukururin) by kaoru.
Alright, now who wants to share their pain/obsession next?

If it has to be a song that I am obsessed with because of an anime then I would go with this.

However, if it could be from a game then this one would be more accurate.

Oooops! I messed up the previous link. actually, I meant this:stuck_out_tongue:

Songs can be from anywhere, else I would have put this topic in the Anime/Gaming/Otaku section. If I had made this topic maybe a week earlier, I probably would have talked about how the classic folk song “Skip To My Lou” was stuck in my head because of an irritating political commercial on TV. :x In addition, for further clarification, they don’t have to be songs (as in something sung). Perhaps I should have named the topic “Got a piece of music stuck in your head? Talk about it here!”?

I always have a song stuck in my head.
Now it’s the OP of the first movie of Kara no Kyokai.

Once, it was “brown girl in the ring” and it was even more ironic since it was because I saw the movie with this guy who broke his leg in the mountain “touching the void”. This song sucks.

I’ve a soft spot for old Italian music, even after 30 years of Japanimation addiction  .

You all just lost THE GAME.

sigh I have a new song stuck in my head. This time the song is “Save”, the end theme for UFO Princess Valkyrie (or if you prefer, UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie).

Even though the 80s are twenty years in the past, I wouldn’t call that “old”.

Well, at least with UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie, you have plenty of vaccine against that handy: try this, this or this!

Fine ! Now I have another song stuck in my head because I yesterday finished my first playthrough of “Sakura Taisen 1”: Hanasaku Otome!

The one thing most amazing about my playthrough is that I ended with the one character’s ending whom I liked least in the TV anime!
But then, I actually liked all game-characters more than their anime-counterparts!

… and maybe, I ended up with Sumire because she really was too adorable in her “save-me-game”!

The series “This Ugly Yet Beautiful World” has just recently started to show on my cable’s On Demand service, and I watched the first two episodes on Saturday after I got home from roleplaying. Anyway, now I’ve got the song “Metamorphose” from the show’s opening stuck in my head. Anyone else ever had this song stuck in their head?

I feel a bit strange quoting myself from this thread before, but… isn’t this what you mean?

I had completely forgot! Thanks for reminding me Unicorn. Glad to see I’m not the only one.

Edit: As an aside, do you also find the scientist Jennifer Portman to be really hot?

Barry Manilow’s “I can’t smile without you”

This one makes me feel like it was sung by a goddess

Can’t forget to metion this one ,too.

These last few days I’ve been listening a lot to FLCL soundtrack (wonderful anime, by the way, highly recommended if you haven’t already seen it), particularly Blues Drive Monster and Last Dinosaur.

And of course Recovering the Satellites by Counting Crows, probably my favourite song of all time, I can’t really stay much time without listening to it. Too bad I could only find a live video of this song, I’m not particularly a fan of live performances :?

I must admit, that one is kind of infectious, which is why I will keep the number of times I’ve listened to it at one, at least until I’ve seen the anime.

I remember a few years back when [adult swim] was constantly showing FLCL (or so it seemed). I couldn’t get those songs out of my head for quite some time.

Of course she is - that is her job, after all: be hot - and distract from the really important things that are going on.

When I first watched the series, she definitely distracted me in the beginning from the events that introduced Ryo’s “second little sister” !

Besides that - she and Ioneos together are just … priceless!

Is it just me or does Jennifer Portman look like another anime character I’ve seen? I especially get the “she looks familiar” feeling with the shot of her wearing sunglasses a few minutes in to the second episode. Perhaps someone here can tell me who she looks like?

Sorry, but I wanted to check by watching that particular scene myself - and … agreed! She indeed reminds me with those glasses even more than without of Dr. Ritsuko Akagi from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I was wondering if that was who it was. Since I don’t have immediate access to the series to check myself, however, I couldn’t confirm it. Is this a case of a recycled character design since Gainax made both series?
