Hard drive usage question

Derived from that other topic to stop ‘SPAMming’ it up…

I don’t see why people need 80 or 120 GB drives, unless you’re a graphic artist.

What do people save on their HD that they need so much space for?

I get the impression that teenagers these days use it to play cracks.
On the other hand, I heard The Sims 2 asks 3 GB of space… x_X

Myself I only type plain texts (don’t need mark-up), save pictures, sometimes download game movies/trailers or game MP3s.
I also have console emulators, but I don’t use them that much anymore.

Anyone got clues?

360 gigs total. (3 HD, 120 each)

Gaming alone, is about 120 gigs, all legit versions.

Fancy that.

Well it’s not that suprising cosidering most games now break the 2 gig storage mark. I heard FFXI was like 10-15 gigs

Installed software takes up a surprising amount of space. Fansubs take up a lot more.
