Has anyone here played / heard of May Club DX?

I got an import of May Club DX, while I haven’t played the older May Club release but DX is looking pretty good! I wonder if there’s a possibility of an English version? As always, the text won’t display properly on my system…

Could you please provide us more info? Who produced the game? How is it spelled in kana?Release dates? Thanks in advance.

Remade by HAOH in 2001
The original Eng version was Translated by JastUSA and created by Excellents(now out of business).
I doubt any English version of this new release will come soon.
Richwin 97 or 2000 might solve this problem.

Make Love, right ^_^;;?
Caught that one quite a while ago.
Yeah, it’s the same art style…so most likely the same artist as the old one.

Not to go too of topic but I’m sure lots know about the word play on Little My Maid
I think that has been discussed here.

I saw some screen shots of DX a while back, It looks like a release of May Club with a new character added.

I haven’t played the original May Club yet so I don’t know how May Club DX compares, but I saw some screenshots of May Club that were also in DX but they looked re-made… so it would seem that the two are the same after all.

Another weird thing is the help file worked the first time I played but now everytime I try to access “help” it says my version of windows doesn’t support the language. _

I own the English release of May Club right now. Can you believe that some of the scenes were cut from the American version due to “graphic content”? How very lame.

The new May Club DX game looks like the exact same game but with better graphics. There’s also one additional character, but that seems to be the extent of it. I don’t know if that’s enough to make me want to rebuy this game. By the way, unless the new game has changed, there are no voices for the girls. I’m now used to this feature, and I actually miss it if it’s not there.

The premise is very simple. You start off with a limited number of “tickets” where you can visit the May Club VR Dating facility. If you run out–which you can do only if you have no clue as to what you are doing–then it’s all over. You’re supposed to meet the girls at May Club, but each girl only appears during certain times and certain days. The only challenge is figuring out their pattern–and sometimes, this can be a REAL pain because the pattern is not always obvious. You’re also working against the calendar, because you only have so many days to win a girl and that’s it. So even if you learn the pattern, if you run out of time then you get a bad ending.

Despite that the graphics are pretty good for the H stuff (in my opinion), the game starts to get frustrating sometimes because there’s literally only about six locations in the entire game, and you have to visit them again and again… Unlike Tokimeki Check-in!, the storyline only advances for a girl if you run into them.
Also, I should note that all the girls contain a one dirty little secret, perhaps to make the game more “ironic”. Some of the secrets are mildly shocking while others are downright disturbing.

And that’s pretty much it in a nutshell.

I don't think the secrets were to make the game more "ironic" but more to differentiate the girls more and to "flesh out" their personalities. And it helps you to get a little more involved in the story. When you find out why this girl is so childlike or why this one is angry, you add another dimension to them and they become more "real" to you and the story of greater importance. (Sorry, I'd use the character names but either my cd or my cd drive is acting up because I can't play "May Club" right now. )

Also, the different "secrets" may make a certain girl more appealing to a person if their secret involves one of their fetishes. So a person who finds the secret may feel like they've gotten extra play value since their fetish is being catered to. (Again, I wish it hadn't been months since I played and I remembered the character names. I remember the girls and their "secrets" but I don't want to go spoiling anyones fun right?
