That describes this board so well. I'm not sure whether to be proud or frightened.

Shouldn't it just be Phoenix-sama? since the -sama honorific means Lord or Lady?

Bird? Female? suddenly you made me think about harpies .

Well, technically no, when it's actually part of the name. Like "Lordscastle" is a name. As silly as "Lord Lordscastle" might sound, it's still correct. But you can take it up with her Worshipfulness if you like.

O.K. I was just wondering, it just seems kind of weird. (At least to me.)

HARPY??? I am deeply offended by such a term…I am a PHOENIX, a fiery, passionate, noble symbol of everlasting life and revival! Not a harpy!!!

And as for my name, I think LadyPhoenix-sama is the term to go with, since the Phoenix is historically male…the Lady before the Phoenix specifies that i am, indeed, a female

Why have you insulted Ladyphoenix-sama? Apologize this instant. I am sorry my goddess, these followers seem to be to literal. While the honorific may mean Lady, it was chosen only because there was no stronger an honorific that we knew. Is there an honorific that lets all know of Ladyphoenix-sama’s divinity?

I know, I know, forgive me, my goddess, but that was the first image that came to my mid. And besides, I've never seen a female-shaped phoenix

Unless the Phoenix takes human form you likely couldn’t tell one way or the other. While in some birds males look completely different, in most the easiest way to tell male birds from female ones is the breeding plumage on males in the spring, which the phoenix doesn’t have to my knowledge.
