I found where to buy 2 out-of-print JAST games

Hi guys,

I was looking for a page that describes Seasons of Sakura, to introduce my friend to bishoujo gaming. Guess what? I found one online shop that still stocks and sells Seasons of Sakura and Runaway City.

- Big Rocket

P.S.: If you played TCI, remember the reference to Sukeban Deka?

Unfortunately, I don’t believe they have any stock left, but if they do, then they are the last. All of our initial games are sold out and are out of print…however, if you can wait a little while, we might have some good news for you soon. (And maybe, some even better news in half a year or so.)

It would be nice to see those games re-released, but bear in mind that lots of people would not be able to play them. For example, anyone using Windows NT, ME, 2000 and XP could not play them. Even playing them with Windows 95 and 98 requires a little more than average technical knowledge to get them running in some cases.

That’s why Peter was asking what he asked in the “Help” part of the forum right? To know how well the games would run under today’s recent systems…

Good news soon? Better news in a half a year? Ack, not again! Speculation and anticpation will be the death of me here...

Yup, the allergy medicine is definitely kicking in. But it is unfortunate that is such a problem to get the older games to work on the newer stuff. I mean, it's older graphics and interfaces but they're still fun!

What's really interesting is that several of the posts on GameFaqs has been about the older games and getting them to work on XP. Of course, most of them now know about the DOS boot disk instructions from Jast, but since I'm betting the majority of the games are bootleg copies, it's kinda hard for them to provide the necessary ISBN number. I do feel sorry for the few people who have legitimate copies but are probably like me and got rid of the packaging long ago.

It’s possible to get the older games working!? That’s cool… What CD writer software do I need? I’m using Nero and it does give the option to create a boot disk. I’ll have to find out how to do it and give it a try.

TurricaN–drop Jast an e-mail; they’ll let you know how to get SoS and 3Sis running in XP. I think it’ll work for Runaway City as well.
