hi i want to know is there any game that you could move a person around instead of just readind the text and looking at picture.
If you’re saying what i think you’re saying then the only game i could think of at the moment it Brave Soul which is coming out sometime in Summer 2002.
what i mean is a game where u can move the person around like you use the arrow key or mouse to move the person around not games that u click on the mouse and just read the text and look at the picture
The games they just list are action type games. ^_^;
Brave Soul is an RPG.
Love Love Show is a Puzzle game(Tetris-Like).
and Kotobuki is an action game.
You don’t just click and read with these.
it sounds to me like you are asking if there are any bishoujo games, which are like the usual US games- 3d modeled first person shooters and such(without the shooting tho)
i havent seen much of that at all, i dont think its very popular
-i like pretty pictures
of course...if you could have it both ways....maybe a graphics algorythm capable of drawing like a human artist...but realtime so you can render dynamic enviroments and such...that'd be neat
i'll look into it and get back to you in 6 years- i need some more time to get my compsci master's degree...

Who in the world gets their masters in CS now except for professors?
Just kidding. (It's an old joke from school about the futility of CS degrees since there are so many people in the computer field without any degrees at all.)
The only other game I can really thing about is that old Cobra Mission game. Where you moved around town via arrow keys and in combat you were supposed to click on various areas of your opponent to attack. (Not that I ever noticed much difference on where I hit them.) I doubt you could find that game anymore though.
I think he’s thinking like the King’s Quest games, where you control a character that walks around and talks to people and does things.

I allways found them to be lacking in dialog. I also find most games of that type
to be both too hard and too easy at the same time as all the puzzles are easy except for one that you can never solve. hint -
"the third key is hid under the toadstool"
and you are surrounded by 15 mushrooms and 1
toadstool. Also most games tend to be too easy at begining and too hard at the end.
Actually, it depends. Though some use really clever dialogues, others depend heavily on the interfaces. Those who remember the parser interface know what I mean. Remember, you not only had to guess what you need to do, but also write it correctly. Pretty much everything changed when the point-n-click interface began, which took a great chunk of the challenge away. (Still some old games like Monkey Island, though, with point-n-click, was still somewhat tricky).

While visiting family I had a chance to watch Final Fantasy 10 on the play station 2. While the graphics look good it just does
not to me have the 'fantasy' look of the earler games.
PS. Also I wonder about the plot...
they went from Ice-lake-bottom to a desert
setting all in one 'poof' at one point in the game.
I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan as well as other rpg's. I'd have to admit that the plot in the Final Fantasy series do seem to get a tiny bit weaker in it's line. To me the ones with the weakest stories were FF5 and FF9. About that "poof" you mentioned, that's part of the mystery of the story, can't tell you cause it will ruin it I finished all Final Fantaties from 4-10. All are great game but... FF11 so far seems to be very weak since it will be an online game only i think.

On Illusion Soft home page, there is a demo for Requiem Hurts, which kind of plays like Tomb Raider.
