iDOLM@STER has come to the West at long last

Her VA has been announced: it will be Matsuda Satsumi. She does the voice for Hiroe Atago in the anime Saki Zenkoku-hen.

According to her personal blog, she has a real twin sister.

A lot of interesting news!!!

First off… the upcoming Image Song lineup for Cinderella Girls has been changed. The two loli idols are NOT getting their CD’s. Instead they’ve been replaced:
http://columbia.jp/idolmaster

Momoka Sakurai (the rich girl loli) is being substituted with Sae Kobayakawa (the yamato nadeshiko idol). Nina Ichihara (officially the youngest iM@S idol) is being replaced with Yuko Hori (a chuunibyo who claims to have psychic powers). Massive hate storm going on… lolicons are upset that Namco either pulled a bait and switch on them, or gave into anti-loli pressure.

Next major news: The Idolmaster SideM. Basically it’s iM@S for girls. You’re a female producer for the all boys idol studio known as 315 Pro. It’s starting out as a mobile phone card game like Cinderella Girls, and a supporting manga series. If it proves successful, expect it to expand into other markets. Here’s the video ad on YouTube. Given the rumors of how many girls enjoy iM@S, this should be a fair success.

The 3rd annual Cinderella Girls Election has been announced. The top five girls who win this contest, who do not have one yet, will get an image song and drama CD within 6 to 12 months. 8)

The idol with the most votes, becomes Cinderella Girl of 2014. Airi Totoki and Ranko Kanzaki are not eligible for the crown, because they’ve already won it (2012 and 2013, respectively).

This year I’m casting votes for Fumika Sagisawa (first pick), Nono Morikubo (second pick), and Clarice (third pick).

Cinderella Girls anime announced!!! :o 8) Will be aired in the 2015 season.

Now where’s that console game Namco-Bandai!?

The 3rd Popularity Poll is still ongoing. The final results will be known April 18th. Also the next batch of image song will be out at the end of the month.

Third Election results so far. Final tally won’t be official until the 18th, so these can change until then (source: http://news-generations.tumblr.com).

Shibuya Rin is the Cinderella Girl of 2014. She was one of the first CG ever made, and the “poster idol” for the franchise, so it’s not too surprising.

Sagisawa Fumika and Himekawa Yuki will be getting VA’s and Master CD’s very soon.

The teaser for Syoko’s image song has been officially released:

That’s right bitches: hardcore iM@S heavy metal. About fucking time. GO TO HELL!!!

It was announced about a week ago, that idols from Cinderella Girls would be featured as DLC for the upcoming The Idolmaster: One for All. It’s not the real console Cinderella Girl title we fans wanted, but it certainly is an awesome teaser for what might be in the future. Here’s footage of a surprise teaser demonstrating Kanzaki Ranko singing her personal image song:

We now know what the stage dance for that awesome song looks like. Can’t wait to see the custom stage for it, seeing how the lighting sequence totally sets the mood on the generic one. :o

Anime in 2015. Possible full console game following after it. Future is looking great for Cinderella Girls. 8)

They’ve revealed Ranko’s unique stage and Rival Burst attack:

Both of them are totally awesome. 8)

She’s the “evil rival” idol in the latest iM@S game. Basically an anti-Miki more or less…

Cinderella Girls was release for iPhone last month:

https://itunes.apple.com/jp/app/idolm-s … ?l=en&mt=8

The game is still in Japanese text, but the information page is in English.

One step forward. One step back. :frowning:

Found this while I was poking around on TV Tropes (a great way to lose HOURS!) - I have no idea if this guy is who he claims to be, but it makes sense: http://forum.project-imas.com/index.php … 8#msg33348

Holds water and seems legit. Remember that Namco released a few iM@S rhythm games on iTunes… and everyone complained they were too expensive. See the second post to this thread. Attempt seems to have ended in failure. Even to this day, there hasn’t been a price reduction for those products. Right now Namco is pushing the anime aspects of the franchise into North America… and that’s about it. The Cinderella Girls mobile game is a pay to win thing (game itself is a free download), so I suppose it makes sense they’re willing to experiment with that.

iM@S 2 is obsolete these days anyways. Graphics are outdated. Everyone in Japan is patiently waiting for the PS4 release of iM@S3.

lol… spoke too soon it seems. The games are currently $25 each because of the 10th anniversary for iM@S. Sale was announced on December 16, so I don’t know how long it will last…
Remember: these are Rhythm Games using iM@S music and characters… not the actual iM@S “raising” games.
