Its not for sale on the American Market and you will have to get it from Himeya or another import company.
Neko Neko’s other releases(like White and Light Blue…all games named as colors 
don’t have this feature however.
The game is still in production I’m sure, but I’m still not sure why the English options where added…for fun or something different maybe??

Well, you will see alot less pirated material on Yahoo Japan than you will on the US auctions.
Yeah, I notice many are reluctant to even vist a game CG maker’s site if its not in English. ^_^;;
But being someone who likes Doujinshi/Soft and Manga I have to kinda get over the frustration of not knowing Japanese, to get what I want.(Use translator sites or find someone who knows the language to help)
Actually there are more people that are flocking(I’ve run into many posts on Cel BBS’s of people who really want to get stuff from the JP Auctions) to Yahoo JP for rare items, now that Yahoo JP bid services like Doujin Box and Celga are available to get the items for you. Celga will bid on almost any anime based product.
Doujin Box only handles Doujinshi Items.

So, has anyone actually gotten “Silver” a.k.a. “Giniro - Silver Color” from Himeya or anyone else, and verified that it indeed has an English mode? I’ll be glad to place an order for it if true, but Himeya doesn’t mention that on their page for the game.
And Kumiko, any plans to cross-sell Himeya stuff at PeaPri?
Yes, the Perfect Version will have the same English mode along with some new added images,stories,new music and a card case(don’t know about the DVD’s language modes)…
You also get the 2 CD-ROM(which I’m positive has the English mode)version of the game in the package (so nice! 
they were thinking about those who don’t have a DVD Rom).
I wouldn’t have stated that there was an English mode in the review if there really wasn’t…trust me.

when I first heard about it, I didn’t believe it myself so…I translated the page:

Himeya staff is very busy and can’t possibly play every game at this point.

Didn’t mean to doubt HGurl , just that I didn’t see any mention of what - to me, at least - should be a major selling point to English-only buyers. I even tried the Neko Neko website, and had the same lack of mention of English (at least in English) for the game. Just wanted to make sure before I placed an order with Himeya. Because of the cost of shipping, I’d rather order multiple products if possible. In fact, I recently went through their site looking for stuff that a non-Japanese reader like me could play. Unfortunately, it seems my best bet would be the “stalker” kind of games, which scare me too much.
Perhaps this belongs on another topic, but which untranslated games can be played relatively easily by English readers with some directions from Japanese readers? So far, that info has come out in scattered bulletin boards and word-of-net. I’d really like to see that info collected somewhere, I’ll even volunteer to post it on my site (PLUG ALERT!).
Something else that’s got me wondering is the price listed on Himeya’s site, which is half that of just about every other game listed? For a DVD/CD combination package, at that?
The graphics look gorgeous, and I’m tempted to order it too. But the story sounds quite unpleasant. Sorry to say that my tastes still have me inclining toward comedic gal games.
Not sure why, but that is the true retail price of the product.

and yeah, if u have to have happy ends or comedy games, don’t bother.
How kichiku is the game, H-Gurl?
When you’re saying dark, do you mean atmospheric, occasionally brutal, tragic, in the same fashion as something like VAMPIRE MIYU? I can handle that. If, on the other hand, we’ve got to see things like the girl’s leg tendons being cut, that’s a different story.
It’s basically a dark, (atmospheric) mysterious, and tragic type plot…(Yes,like Vampire Princess Miyu)but there are times when you will see death and blood. There’s nothing gory in the scenes(nothing like the death in Divi-Dead).
The Adult elements are quite minimal, and are very soft core.
Ayane’s leg isn’t shown being cut,and you will only see the scar once.
The only real 2 problems was the first CD lagging during install(but it gets done)and a error starting the game that was fixed with the patch provided on NekoNeko’s web page. I run English Windows 98 and thats the only problems I had.
Well, I’ve just received this from Himeya…the new DVD version. My optimism about getting it to run the way I need it to is flagging, though.
The DVD “special edition” is 1.5 gigs, compared to 1 GB for the original CD version, and looks and sounds very nice indeed. However, it has no English voice option. The CD-ROMs included in the package contain the new DVD version.
The DVD itself does offer the option of installing the original game. A choice between English and Japanese voice is immediately provided. The frustrating part–I can’t get English text from the game! All text shows up onscreen as a row of dots. The second menu item in the toolbar does have a switch between “MS Gothic” and something else (the toolbar is also otherwise unreadable), but installing the font and making that selection doesn’t make a difference in the screen display.
Otherwise, all versions of the game run perfectly on Windows ME. If anyone can offer ideas on what I would need to do to get the English subtitles, I’d love to hear them.

Indeed, I can only think that they must have selected their voice actors (or actress(es?)--I've only gone far enough to encounter one speaking character) for their fluency in English, because it's clearly understandable. Just has that odd inflection suggesting she doesn't quite know which words and phrases should be emphasized.
Of course, the expanded version doesn't appear to have the English option at all, so it may have been regarded as a failed experiment.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot! The only thing I could think of was to install MS Global IME, which didn't make a bit of difference.
I'm hoping that being able to properly display the character set the game is using will permit the English subs to be seen as well. Of course, it's possible they were dropped from this edition entirely, in which case I'll just be left looking at the very pretty pictures!

Yeah, it was a bit of a shock to hear the Japanese voice actresses speaking english… but I guess it was just an experiment to them…
