I would say my favourite type of game is the simulations. True Love was the second bishoujo game I played (first was Kotobuki) and it is still by far my favourite bishoujo game, though having said that, it may change once I buy some games from Peach Princess
I honestly can’t say. I tend to look more for content than genre–I judge each game by its own individual merits, regardless of what category it falls into. As such, my selection of titles fall into a very wide variety, such as mystery, life sim, RPG, etc.
Personally I have no preference (I don’t play horror, mystery, SM, slave training, and dark titles just because of personal taste)…I think that if the game as a whole is well-rounded I wouldn’t mind the style of gameplay.
…I guess I didn’t answer the question after all ^^
I preffer training/raising simulations types. Ones with very little text to deal with.
So I’d say my favorite is Syusyusya ^_^;
It’s a bit hardcore, but I like the art style
I like the Role playing Games. Phantom Knight by Software House Parsley was pretty good although it had a really irritating aspect to it in regard to the leveling up process.
i like sims of all kinds…training, raising, love
my favorite games are true love, the maids story, princess maker
I actually prefer games with a really good story. Hmm the Viper games are great and all but mainly in graphics. Maid story was nice but i felt that the story was incredibly weak. I think i’d have to make my choice between Dividead and Desire (i haven’t played any of PP games yet but i will REALLY soon ), so i’d pick Dividead because the story really kept me in the game didn’t really want me to leave. Don’t get me wrong, Desire had a good story too but for me it seemed a little pointless at some points. I wonder if i felt more interested in Dividead cause it’s horror… hmm i really don’t know, i don’t watch horror movies but i do play alot of those type of games (Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, etc.). So uh… i guess that’s it. JA!
training sims are pretty cool, but I also like some of the well done visual novels too.

Strictly speaking, I don’t care much about the type of the game, because the game mechanics doesn’t play any role at all in my liking of it. As long as the story is good and characters loveable/interesting, I don’t care.
Now, because time is a factor to me (alas; I don’t have much time to spend on games ), I’d avoid RPGs because of the time-consuming task of levelling, and would rather play Visual Novels…
Well… I don’t really have a favorite favorite type, pretty much if I like it I like it, if i don’t i don’t. ^^;
Yeah, I used to like RPG’s a whole lot but somewhere between Final Fantasy VII and Fallout I started to lose patience for the random encounters. That’s why I like Zelda and Brave Soul more because you have the freedom to stand and fight or get the heck out of there. I’m in the Bishoujo games for the stories and the adorable girls. I play the occasional racing game but that’s about it, I have no love for sports games. Havne’t played a training game yet. I’m fond of simulation games, they tend to have rather low system requirements as well so that’s good.
When it comes to bishoujo games, I favor visual novels with some sense of mystery. (My two favorites bishoujo games are Divi-Dead and Nocturnal Illusions, although Tokimeki Check-in! is right up there with them.) True Love is excellent, too, although, where romance-type games are concerned, I like Tokimeki Check-in and Season of the Sakura best. It was fun to see the stats rise in Maid Story, but I didn’t get attached to the characters as much as I do in the visual-novel games; and characterization and story are my two favorite aspects of bishoujo games. (Oops. I’d better mention the cute girls too before Kumiko lets me have it.)
