Its my 21st birthday, which B-game should i splurge on?

Yeah I can now legally drink w00t. But seeing as there are no liquor stores open at 1:00 AM Monday morning, I think I will splurge and buy myself a new B-game instead.

I’m thinking Casual Romance Club since its the most expensive one and this is a good excuse to buy myself a present.

However the only English B-games I have are:
Divi Dead
Eve Burst Error
Brave Soul

Any suggestions? I’m looking for more of an “easy-going fun” game in order to fit my birthday mood.

Get Kana...err wait. Easy-going fun? I thought you said queasy-tearful-glum. My mistake.

I'd recommend Heart de Roommate, if you're into Love Hina-type anime (I've never actually seen the series but it seems to describe the game). Tokimeki Check-In would also be a good choice. Everyone seems to like that. Heart de Roommate isn't high on the ecchi scale though, if that's what you mean by "easy-going-fun."

Easy-Going Fun games eh?

I was about to recommend “Kana - Little Sister”, “Private Nurse” and "Crescendo."
Unfortunately, even though all those games are well-made, none of them would be considered "Easy-going fun."

In this case, I would recommend “Tottemo Pheromone”, “Heart de Roommate” and "Tokimeki Check-in."

As for Casual Romance Club…hmm… If you can stand “Engrish” and have tons of patience, then that game might be for you.

One more thing…Happy Birthday

Actually, I’m turning 21 in a few hours too. Want to know what I’m getting for my birthday?

VIRTUAL MATE! Yay!

Sorry, but I couldn’t let this moment of a lifetime pass me by forever…I promise I’ll be good now.

Now, now. That could actually be considered "getting screwed", which is an altogether different to get for your birthday.

You're trying to give me a mental picture aren't you? Me...V-mate...noooooo.

Oh yeah, the topic. You might also want to check out the "Cheap B-games?" topic, SuperDeadite.

Happy birthday, SuperDeadite!

I recommend Tokimeki Check-In! for easy-going fun. Seems like it would fit.

Thanks everyone. I had my first legal drink today at Friday’s. A nice big double-pint of Sam Adam’s.

In regards to the B-games, after seeing the place mentioned on the “Cheap B-games” thread being legit, I think I’m gonna order from them. Since they only stock G-Collections games I think I’m gonna get:
Heart de Roommate and Cresendo

I have all of Love Hina on DVD and I think it’s pretty good but I don’t like Heart de Roommate. I hope you like it. If you want an “easy-going fun” game from G-collections then I’d suggest Come See Me Tonight 2. It’s easy, fun, has lots of sex scenes and you can even learn something about shinto.

Do you think that was a bad description? Like I said, I haven't really seen the series. The "feel" I've gotten of it just seems to match Heart de Roommate.

There's certainly similarities btw Love Hina and Heart de. both involve a male rooming at all female dorm (the forbidden factor). there's heavy romance-comedy element in both. Heart de is set up as anime episodes.

had I seen this thread earlier, I would have suggested Kango 1 & 2 instead b/c they're more on the light comedy side. But nonetheless Heart de and Crescendo are solid choices.

Hmmm…light and funny huh. Well tottemoe pheremone is pretty fluffy as well as the kango and horny bunny series. Not much in terms of deep story but fun fluff.

My first thought was Chain because that’s what I’m in the middle of now and I love it - total departure in concept - but as a detective story it’s hardly “easy-going” though it is definitely “fun.”

Go for Tokimeki Check-In! That game was lighthearted and silly but the setting is unique (a ryokan - country hotsprings spa,) the music is cool and memorable, the characters are a crack-up as well as sexy and well-drawn.

And of course since this is two weeks after the fact you’ve already picked one, but for future reference…

Tokimeki Check-in!

Great stories, graphics, music, and replay value. Good adult entertainment value too (i.e. sex scenes).

I’m one of the few who got really, really bored with Heart de Roommate. About 4 or 5 girls are available (and they are all cutesy), and the sex scenes are on the mild side. It’s extremely long and tedious too, like an over-extended teen soap opera which is predictable to a certain extent. Love Hina made me laugh. HdR didn’t.

Yeah I want Tokimeki Checkin, but I decided on HdR thanks to the cheap $35 price I was able to get it for. So far I think its a great game. Sure its nothing spectacular, but I’m more then satisfied with my purchase.

Splurge again! Right now you can buy Tokimeki Check-In! for $35 from www.rightstuf.com

And Planet anime had a 30-35% off sale on bishoujo games. Too bad I already have all of them
