We briefly had a tsunami watch in Hawaii because of that earthquake. The silliest part of the warning was that also mention that waves may increase by as much as 3 feet. Apparantly tsunami are much smaller today then they were in the past…
yeah I read that somewhere too and I had to laugh. 3 feet is like a small wave here in cali of course the silly person who reported it could have mistaken feet for meters, which would be about 10 feet which would make for little a more dangerous wave
I think 3 feet is a small wave anywhere. I don’t even bodyboard unless the waves are a minimum of 3 feet…
Of course 3 feet would be a pretty big wave in my bathtub
