Just a suggestion

Hey, just a suggestion here. Why dont you guys accept Paypal for payment?

good question, but i have no idea :stuck_out_tongue:

especially when jlist accepts paypal too i believe…so if you want to purchase some games and want to use paypal for payment you may want to try purchasing through www.jlist.com

Jlist accepts paypal???

I had no idea. I certainly haven’t seen them advertise it the last time I tried to buy something from them. Are you sure about that?

just an update, upon a quick search on jlist’s ebay listings it seems that they do accept paypal for their auction stuff so i guess it’s POSSIBLE that they MAY accept paypal for your orders as well

so i guess it’s best to send them an email and ask them just to be sure; remember that i don’t work for jlist directly so i can’t make any promises :stuck_out_tongue:

In my opinion, a shop that don’t accept Paypal payments is truly a good and reliable shop!
Even Something Awful don’t laugh, this time…

Besides, Sex and PayPal are NOT COMPATIBLE!

(sorry baldo, but that site sells bootleg stuff so i will have to take down your link)

oh yeah, now i remember…that’s why we cannot accept paypal, because paypal does not allow their services to be used for adult products/services at all.

…tough luck guys :stuck_out_tongue:

baldo, and thats why i always keep a minimum amount of money in my paypal account :stuck_out_tongue:

Ooops , in this case I will post just the "horror story" of that particular shop:
THE LONG EXPLANATION:
On 8/4/2005, after about 5 years of loyal membership, PayPal froze the account of CENSORED with NO warning, with the explanation that we had violated their "acceptable use policy".

They claim to have no phone number where this can be discussed in detail, so we were forced to correspond with them slowly via email. It was eventually revealed that they believed us to have violated the portion of their policy that prohibits the sale of items intended for "mature audiences".

But their definition of these materials is so vague as to be completely useless, including terms like "work [that] depicts or describes...sexual conduct" or "representations or descriptions of intercourse, masturbation...". Clearly, that definition could include anything from a Henry Miller novel to any first grade classroom.

At first willing to work with them, we agreed to consider removing any offending products from our catalog if they would explain which ones they took issue with. Since we have over 10,000 items in our catalog (and are one of the few etailers of our kind that specifically does NOT intentionally market hardcore pornography), we were curious to see which items they had a problem with. And since they are the ones who were applying their own bizarre and vague definition to classify items from our catalog as "adult material", it seems obvious that only they could explain which items were "in violation".

Yet they refused flatly to identify any specific products, instead insisting that we had to remove all PayPal logos and payment methods from our site immediately, and admit wrongdoing, or we could not even gain access to the funds in our account.

Many other specialty DVD sellers accept PayPal and sell "adult material" equalling (but usually far exceeding) the explicitness of the products we sell. Yet none of them were targeted.

Despite the fact that a customer's best interests are far better served by a credit card company than by PayPal--and despite the fact that a credit card doesn't demand direct access to your bank account--PayPal sales accounted for a significant portion of CENSORED's revenue. And without that payment option, CENSORED may lose ground to competitors who are allowed to continue to accept PayPal payments on their websites despite selling the very same products that we do, thanks to PayPal's completely arbitrary enforcement of this vague policy.

Yes, there are more important things happening in the world today than this, but we are asking for your support anyway if you are willing or able. Don't support a company that locks out long-time members from the funds in their account with no warning. Don't support a company that doesn't allow the sale of "adult materials" but refuses to properly define them. Don't support a company that holds your own legal currency hostage and doesn't allow you to use it to purchase perfectly legal products. Don't support a company that uses YOUR OWN MONEY as leverage to tell you what is moral and what is immoral.

Close your PayPal account. Don't shop at Ebay or Half.com. Write a letter. Tell a friend. Whatever.

Not even ‘shop’ at eBay? o_O
Where would I get my rare goodies then?

dO_*b Oh that is really a horror story…
scares me shitless.
