I know this is an absolute long shot but I was wondering if anyone here will be attending Kawaii-kon this weekend?

^^; I should have figured that the used a word pun similar to Ohayo-con. I don’t think I’ll be able to drive to Hawaii this weekend.

Hey everyone. Well, I still drop by now and then but I’ve been avoiding the temptation to post. My reasons for removing myself as a regular havn’t changed. Just a quick look through a handful of posts was enough to get my temper up.
Anyways, I’d feel really dumb if by some off-chance there was someone here who was going to Kawaii-Kon and I missed the chance to meet them in person because I was in seclusion. I’ve been trying to make my way to Anime Expo to meet people for, what, three years now? And I doubt I’m going to make it this year. (Just changed jobs and I don’t even know if they’ll let me use vacation time yet.)
Heh, and if you do manage to find a way to drive to Hawaii from Ohio, definitely let me know bishounen_blue-san, I always welcome tips in how to cut traveling expenses…

Yeah, I don't blame you, I hardly post here anymore either ever since this place became a big bitching board. The times they are a changing.
If only there were a reason for me to go back to Hawaii this weekend, I'd go. Well, there's family, but really the only time we go back is for a funeral or memorial service. Sounds morbid, but it's true. I think the last time I went back was for my Grandpa's 10th memorial service, I think. Something like that. And that was a few years ago. My parents went back more recently than I have, either for class reunions or family visits. Nonetheless, I'll still be at the AX this year again, probably Saturday again, browsing the Exhibitor's hall.
