Koi Hime OVAs

Actually, the Yuki Onna is only one of the 4 major myths that Koi Hime uses :stuck_out_tongue:

Besides, unless the anime diverges greatly from the Elf Game, I don’t think it’ll matter all that much. The story has a much greater emphasis on each of the characters and the fact that they’re not human than the mythological aspects of it. I don’t think there will be much trouble in the port…

though the actions and the personality for each of the characters makes a lot more sense if you do :stuck_out_tongue:

Really? So Mayuki’s the main heroine? Odd…she’s like the most minor character out of the 4 in the game :stuck_out_tongue:

Koi Hime is only two DVDs, right? OK, sorry for being a bit off-topic to your current discussion… ^_^;

Got the DVDs yesterday, and watched it today. … Now, My $0.02. It was interesting, however, as mentioned above, it relies too much on folklore and was a somewhat lost. Besides yuki-onna and the water dragon (?), I was simply… lost… Kumiko-san, can I blame you for yet-another-hole in the wallet??? :slight_smile:

The problem is, as you mentioned on the first post, they haven’t mentioned which titles (they are not mentioned in Anime-on-DVD), nor the release date (AFAIK) of Shuusaku. So… it could be at early as next month or as late as 2 or 3 years.

Hmmm…I just read what Kumiko wrote it on AnimeonDVD. It seemed that NuTech is releasing the above titles. Adding on to what Kumiko wrote they are also going to release Desert Island Story X and XX plus Pia Carrot 1 and 2.
However, I doubt we’ll be seeing those titles early.
I wonder what will SoftCelPics do?

By the way, can anyone tell me what the story of Court of the Angels and Koi Hime are without giving major spoilers. I’m a bit curious.

Kaiser Fire-san: I just read, too, Anime-on-DVD update. Welcome to Pia Carrot? Weee!!! (Actually I do have the first one, but anyway!) Just as you mentioned, they are annouced to be released on July 3rd (I assume on this year!).

Oddities: Welcome to Pia Carrot 1 & 2 are 3 OVA each. However, they have it listed in two ways: as two individual discs or as a box set. Wonder how they will do that (3 OVAs into two discs)… Ditto for Koi Hime, as they have it as single dics or a box set. Hmmmmmm… I have no regrets on buying each DVD for circa 5000 yen (around US $43.00), but I wonder if the average anime consumer will pay (around) US $20.00 per 30 minutes DVD.

Back to the topic of Shuusaku, Anime-on-DVD is posting the cover arts of the first offerings of NuTech’s DVDs, Inmu, Shuusaku and Shuusaku Replay. I like the ones for Shuusaku, but I am not sure if I could get the rest pass the custom service! ^_^;
