Koi-Hime (Possible Spoilers)

Well, I’ve just watched Koi-Hime so I thought I wrote a bit of opinion on it.
The packaging was well done but the discs itselves don’t have a picture on it so it looked a bit blank.
As for the dub, for me no matter how good is the dub it will sound bad for me, especially for adult bishoujo anime :stuck_out_tongue:
The menu was good except you have to turn the disc over for movie trailers.
The artwork is very excellent (as we all know PinPai’s work)
Now onwards to the story, the plot is very interesting involving mythical Japanese youkai (demon) such as Tengu,yuki-onna,ryu-oh etc. I was very interested in the story and thought this was going to be one of the top adult bishoujo in my list but I was wrong. For me, I personally didn’t like how the story ended. The ending could’ve improved a lot. Forgive me as I always hated sad/separaton ending
I wonder if the game also ended like this (could someone enlight me on this)

Well, that’s my opinion. Please don’t be offended in any way as this is only my personal opinion.
Please let me know what you think

I watched the R2 DVD, if it that counts... Anyway, it seems that NuTech has no interest, whatsoever with the DVD art. Shuusaku DVDs didn't had any picture on it either, and, as you mentioned, you had to flip the DVD to get the trailers.

Though I didn't dislike the ending, I didn't love it either. It is more of a matter of interpretation. My gripe, though, is the length of the story: It was way too short.

Pia Carrot is non-labeled also, we can guess that all of their releases from PinkPineapple will be like that. As for Koihime, there is gonna be an oav of it, that’s what Kumiko-chan said anyway in another topic, it was already discussed pretty much.

(Raising eyebrows)

My Koi Hime (R2) DVDs has graphics on the disc (ditto with Pia Carrot 1). (Checking all other R2 DVDs) Yup, all of them have a graphic... Probably the guys at NuTech were a bit lazy, you know, jejejeje

As far as there being a graphic on the disc itself, the Japanese don't usually have a graphic on their DVDs, so the subject probably never came up. However, Dave E did talk briefly with NuTech at BAAF, and they did mention some awareness of that possibility - it probably won't go anywhere, but they have evidently been asked about it before. If you have a chance to mention it to them, you'll at least keep it present in their minds as a possible thing to do at some point.

The story is not necessarily "separation", by the way... it sort of depends on how one looks at it. Mayuki is still around... let's put it that way, shall we? After all, snow in summertime? Not hardly!

It's unfortunate that they didn't explain the many references, but that's normal for domestic releases, after all.

Is it true that Koi-Hime and Court no naka Tenshi Tachi has its continuation???
If it does, has it been released by Pink Pineapple?
Also, do you know whether the story follows up the old story or does it start a whole new story???
I'm very curious now

The snow in summer part really makes me sad. The part where I'm upset is that they didn't ask Masamune's opinion on whether he wants to stay or not, doesn't he have a say in this?

Dave E has a lot of import Japanese DVDs - most of them do not have CG on the disc. He already gave his Koi Hime to Peter in exchange for the domestic release, but he was sure his didn't have CG on them. Releases like Pia Carrot 1 and 2 (they have a design, but there is no actual CG - are yours different?), Stainless Night, and Parade Parade sometimes have a design but are also often done as just a plain color, and in either case are not actual CG pics, per se. It varies with the release - Refrain Blue has a two-tone CG, for example. Triangle Heart isn't KSS, but it has a full color CG. Wedding Peach is peach-colored with a drawing etched into it, but not actual CG, per se.

CG? I meant, a picture or graphic, not a computer graphic. In any case, my DVDs are not a plain silvery plain disk like the one from Shuusaku. I could have easily missed (the Shuusaku DVD) for one of my blank CD-Rs.

CDs are like that too - Wedding Peach soundtracks are pure white discs - very pretty, for that show.

I know what you mean. I recently got Tokimemeki Memorial 3 - Motto! Motto! Tokimeki Memorial 2001 single. It is a regular size CD with three tracks in a pink colored CD. Ditto with To Heart OST, a white disk (letters were red). Yet, not even one of all the CDs or DVDs are a plain silvery disk!!! ^_^
