Alright, how do you respond to just part of a quote?

the mistake you made was at the end quote
you need to put a bracket

True, everyone is offended by anything.

Not sure what movie it was, people were stomping roach's, people got offended, the insect community, took them to court, so you can't squash bugs in movies now. that's honestly how anal people are, so you won't see the 18+ removed for drawn stuff either.

someones trying to change the laws!?
well that just sucks for us

anything i can do about it?
how do you protest somthing like that? no matter what i argue wont people just say im a perv who doesnt matter?

it’s hard to argue when it comes to law.

if it can offend people [ basically anything, really I mean anything ] prepare for a fight.

on top of that notice we don’t have porn shops in the malls or the galleria. Most of those are just shacks with no windows, right? [ porn closet USA ]

I believe I’m stating the facts correct down below. if not please feel free to correct them

In Cincinnati, a few years ago, they put a comic book shop owner on trial for an adult comic book. The title chara was the daughter of Satan born as a full grown woman(very full grown). As that she had her first sexual intercourse after she was born they had him on trial for child porn. They did not see her an adult, but as a minor. I believe they lost the case, but the owner went out of business from all the court costs.

Hmmmmmmmm…

Hey, exoarchaeologist…at least the picture is not censored…

Anyway, if you change the age of the characters, you could defend yourself against a case of child pornography…Besides, the ones who control the US government are republicans…well, there are also democrats who stands on the moral basis of the ring wings…so, you got oppositions…

Well…the company who must defend themselves could go to court, but you need a lot of capital for that…so, it could harm a company, just like the example given by PJR…particularly if that company is still establishing itself…Moreover, a plethora of zealots who are fighting for a cause…even if it is blind and illogical…could easily damage any company…

Look I do not know about you…but I stand with Mischief on this…

Anyhow…If you could do anything…I wish you luck…

Oh, well…v

I think Mischeif is mostly right. I remember Kumiko posting about this a while back (and a very descriptive post at that), but I cannot find it to link too.

Anyway, the censorship laws are vauge when it comes to drawings and printed material… so vauge that it’s difficult to enforce, difficult to defend, and easy to convict. So, to cover their bases, most companies go through the lip motions of “everyone over 18” so that they’ll be safe. Despite that everyone knows that these same characters aren’t 18+ It’s one of the big reasons some online anime reviewers poke fun of the “Everyone in College” comments (when you can plainly tell that these characters are in their local high-school unforms.)

Anyway, but by saying that people are 18+, you curb most of the potential censorship problems before they even start.

Oh, as an aside, I really liked that Notepad message that popped up in Snow Drop before you loaded in the game. Well written, and it keeps people knowing that it’s a game and not real life in the back of their heads. Good choice, and well done Peach Princess staff.

To Exo,

You can vote. You’d be suprized the enabling power you have to vote on issues like censorship, morality, and such like that. I take great cares to make sure that I vote as often as I do. I don’t want someone who’s in office who doesn’t think along the same lines I do.

If you don’t, you get the people in office who are afraid that a drawing of cartoon characters having intercourse will decay the moral fibers of our society leading us into a downward, plummeting spiral… and then these same people go out and buy the new Playboy College girl issue. Go figure.

Mike Thomas

humh…vote…
