For some reason, I’m having a hard time finding games that are actually on sale (and not by big companies). Piles of freeware, yes. But that’s not what I’m looking for at the moment. Anyone know where to go to find low-budget non-hentai Japanese games for girls?

Konami is way out of my league. But my needs are very picky, and it’s tough finding the right things. (It doesn’t help that vector lists demos and freeware in the same slot.)
OTOH from following links from one’s I seem to have stumbled into at least a couple of ooo-shiny, so I think I’m not doing too badly.
This might be an odd off-topic suggestion, but would it be possible to acquire the rights to reprint Yo-Jin-Bo?
I don’t do physical distribution, so I’m not the right person to ask about that. (I do have a game in stores but only because it was picked up by an actual publisher.)

Yeah, I saw that one and went Ooo Shiny. Gonna have to get my hands on a full copy to playtest before making requests of course… (Any recommendations about easiest way to order? I see a list of stores but I don’t know if any of them are going to deal with stinking foreigners, or if I should just get one of those we-will-buy-Japanese-stuff-for-you services to send it over.)
The only downsides to that game other than it being a slightly bigger project than might be wise for a first translation are that I’m going to have to answer questions of “Why is that boy wearing a dress?” But it’s definitely a top prospect for something I’d like to bring over.
