Well, I finally got myself a Neo Geo Pocket Color, and I must say it's the most awesome handheld I have ever experienced, the joystick handles much better than the directional pad on the Gameboy Advance. May SNK Rest in Peace.

I loved mine but it was too small for my hands. ;_; Bought mine just for Faselei/Evolution/Cotton.

Ey, Bokmeow san!
I’m glad to find another bishojo-mahjong fan. But I must say the only non-pc way to truly enjoy them is getting yourself a pc-88, or saturn w/ action-replay. They have the best version of Real Mahjong P series, and Idol mahjong senshi Suchi-pai series. Saturn and action-replay will costs you around only $100 or so, if you can find a descent one!

Not a Bishoujo question, but is there anyone in the Princeton/Trenton/West Windsor area in New Jersey that also has ‘Cardfighters Clash’ for Neo Geo Pocket Color? I’m looking for a good vs. battle and the only kid I know that has a Neo Geo Pocket Color doesn’t have ‘Cardfighters Clash’ for sure.

umm may i ask why there is a sudden hype 4 a neogeo thingy?? besides aint the gfx a lil bit like the GB/GBA?? (i recon they suck real bad)

TH

Since everyone is talking about bishojo games for portable systems I have something to ask.

Is the Dokusei mahjong by Elf for the Gameboy still in print? Himeya doesn't have it. Also, what is the best place to buy a Neo Geo Pocket Color and Super Real Mahjong?

After some digging around, I found out the NeoGeo Pocket actually had a lot more Bishoujo titles that I had previously be led to believe. But, like the NeoGeo Console, SNK had placed strict restrictions on the developers so the ones that developed on the portable pocket were only a handful. ‘Kid’ developed most of the Bishoujo titles, so it seems, one was called Pocket Love IF, which I think was also developed for the Gameboy Color, there were 3 or four bishoujo titles.

Hmm, since all of SNK’s intellectual property was bought, I’ve been hearing that there are developments for new games for the Neo Geo Cart and the 4 in 1 arcade systems. Apparently there are plans to put out 5 games this year. Maybe there’s still quite a bit of life left in my Neo Geo Pocket color, one can only hope. I really want to get ahold of Memories Off Pure and Pocket Love IF if anyone has a good tip.

Is it anyone can find the Dragon Knights 4 for the computer games, I really like to play.

I have no ideas if PC’s Dragon Knight 4 may exist. Let me check Playstation’s Dragon Knight 4 Visual Game Guide.

I am not sure… it said PC-98 (12 5HD or 12 3.5HD), X68000, and FM Towns (CD-Rom).

I do know only SNES, Playstation, and PC-FX (adult version).

I am not sure about PC’s Dragon Knight 4 may not exist. I can’t find any informations about it. ???

How about the “official” source?

I’m looking for Memories Off Pure and Pocket Love IF and any other Bishoujo Game that was released on the Neo Geo Pocket platform. If anyone has a good tip for either of those games and anything else by Kid please drop me a tip at yeoushiu@eden.rutgers.edu

Another Bishoujo Game from ADK. I think its name was Party Mail. I will check it later.

Another bishoujo game from ???. ???'s Story, I am not sure what's this?

Well, after much digging around, I found out that Party Mail is actually a tamogotchi type game. You can pick one of five pets, and it has link capability so you can trade items and data with other Neo Geo Pockets. Found a place that had Pocket Love IF, but Yikes, 44 great britain pounds? great mother of shukamuni!

Sometimes you just luck out. Yesterday I had to go pick my sister up from school and since I had time to kill, I stopped by the local records/comics store. And I almost missed it but they had an unopened copy of Runaway City and Season of Sakura. I asked them about it and the girl working said that they were found in a storage closet they were trying to clear out. Picked up the Runaway City since I can’t seem to find the original one I had. Wonder if I should go back and pick up the Season of Sakura one as well…

Actually I've had Season of Sakura for awhile, but I'd hate for the one I saw yesterday to get all lonely on the shelf by itself...

But seriously, this was one of the places I did talk to about PeaPri's games. The thing is, the store was bought out a few months back and the new owners are not receptive at all. Actually, that's probably why I was able to find the games there in the first place, they were trying to get rid of all the "undesireable" stuff. For instance, I've been able to get a whole bunch of RPG stuff really cheap from them. (Now I just need to get around to selling them on Ebay... ) I was just really surprised to see a couple of old, unopened JAST games for sale.

Hey Ekylo, what RPG stuff were you able to get? Maybe we can work something out between the two of us, so that I can have more games to review for my website.

I still need tips for the following Neo Geo Pocket Color Bishoujo titles:

Infinity Cure

Memories Off Pure (has Memories Off and Memories Off Second Dreamcast link capabilities)

Pocket Love IF

'Seikai no Josei o Tame ni!'
CLAMP Gakuen Tanteidan

Um, just to make sure we're clear, I'm refering to good old, paper/pencil/dice RPG's. I'm old school enough that when people say 'RPG', I immediately start thinking D&D instead of Wizardry. (Don't know your website URL so I can't do a quick peek to check to see which you're refering to )

So anyways, if it's good old books and stuff, I have various odds and ends I've been picking up. The last batch I got was mainly White Wolf, Fasa and Dream Pod 9 stuff but I also picked up three books from game systems I've never heard of but they looked interesting (don't recall the names off the top of my head). Stuff I either play myself or felt I could turn a profit on Ebay. If it's computer stuff, I do have those as well but beats me if I remember them all. (Though I think I still have the original Wizardry for Apple IIe! Good old 5 1/4" disks! ) I can't wait to get a place of my own so I can start organizing things...

This is somewhat relevant to the subject of Out of Print Bishoujo games: Does anyone know if I can play Japanese Saturn games on the American Saturn without any modification or conversion? There’s been a series of 4 Sega Saturn Bishoujo games listed on eBay and I so want to bid on them, but I don’t want to have to shell out extra money for a mod Saturn if I don’t have to.

Shake, you'll need a mod/converter/etc. to play them.

Ah poopie.
