Does anyone know where I can find copies of Ring Out, True Love, or any other Out-of-print Bishoujo games? I appreciate any tips, no pirate sites please.
Hey Bokmeow,
I’m very reluctant to use it, but you might want to try eBay. Sometimes you get good stuff there… most of the time you won’t.
Still… as the Yard Sale of the word, it might have the games you’re looking for used.
Mike
Much to my dismay, I had checked out all those online stores except for Nikaku Animart, and of those stores only Anime Castle still had them listed but as ‘out of stock.’ I shall have to try one of the European dealers.
hey, check www.archonia.com, a belgian online store. I looked if they had ring out (nope) but they have true love. I recently got Nocturnal Illusion from them so it wouldn 't surprise me if they other games as well, I believe I saw Season of Sakura when I entered their stock place. I know the people of Archonia, greet them for me if you mail them

Whew, the search for out of print games was long and hard, but I finally managed to locate two out of print Otaku Publishing games. Thanks for the help people. I look forward to playing True Love, which I’ve heard nothing but good about, and ZYX’s Ring Out!
I wish I could help you.
I mean I have all the games you ask for but I doesn’t sell them nor have I an idea where you can find them now.
All where I look they’re out of stock.
Anyway good luck R.
you will very much enjoy True Love, bokmeow-san…i still pull my copy out and play it sometimes, just becausei love the sim aspects

*sigh* we really needs more games with the SIM aspects out at the english market. I think I'll scream of joy when Peach Princess are done with LMM - it isn't a "true" sim, but I'll sure enjoy the SIM aspct in LMM anyway

What makes a game a true SIM anyway? Is it like Princess Maker where you assign a schedule of tasks to customize the character's abilities?
I don’t think visible stats does a sim make, but it’s a lot easier to see what you’re doing when you have to manage 5 girls at once. The thing in Graduation was, if you didn’t cater to the particular girl’s personality, she will either respect you or ignore you. It was a very complex Life sim. I ended up with all slackers when I treated them all the same way without regards to their personality.
i characterize a Sim by there being stats in bars or some other indicator showing how your actions are affecting things…
in True Love, for example, it’s a sim because there are all those bars (Attractiveness, Strength, etc) that you could affect by performing actions to either increase or decrease them
a sim to me is also affected story-wise more by the bars than by a pre-ordained path through the story…in Tokimeki Check-in, you change the story by being in different places at different times according to the kind of guy you are roleplaying, but it is still very much the same story in the background…in true Love, you could see a drastically different story (except for the swim meet and a few other events) by having different stats built up
I’m looking for a slew of out-of-print Bishoujo games, the internet hasn’t paid off too great so I was wondering if anyone wanted to sell part of their collection to me. I’m looking for any of the out-of-print games from Otaku Publishing and RCY America. If anyone has any MegaTech games I’d be interested in those as well, although they are admittedly the bottom of my priority due to the fact that my system handles DOS stuff badly. If anyone can give me a good tip for Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure that would be great, I can’t find any online retailers that sell the game within my budget contraints, so I’d be willing to buy it from someone’s collection. don’t post replies here, email me at yeoushiu@eden.rutgers.edu
hmmm looks similar to “legend Of Mana” 4 the PSX damn shame it only ships the the USA

About the Rhapsody, If you have PS2 only, You won’t be able to play the game. It will lock up constantly after you meet the prince for the first time. If you must play the game, buy your self a PS1. (you can get a used one at $50 or less…)

Nice tip, I think I'll remember that. Besides, the PSOne is cute, so I will be playing a cute game in a cute console with a cute girl in a cute room and wearing a cute expression on my face. Now that's cute.

Did you have way too much sugar this morning?
Don’t know about Atlus, but when I called Sony, the representative told me that happens sometimes. He basically gave me the general BS (We’re trying to correct the problems blah blah, meanwhile try the game with PS1…)

Have someone here order it and pay them for it - you'd have to pay additional fees, of course, if there are any. Or, just check online - there are various places that have international branches, and the game only came out a couple years ago (over here.)
hmmm could do that or browse but me gonna wait a wee while for funds to recover a bit (well me get paid to day)

Well, I finally got myself a Neo Geo Pocket Color, and I must say it’s the most awesome handheld I have ever experienced, the joystick handles much better than the directional pad on the Gameboy Advance. May SNK Rest in Peace.
Anyways, I got the handheld for the expressed purpose of getting ahold of Super Real Mahjong Premium Collection from Seta and some other titles available only in Japan since SNK USA folded before those titles had a chance to arrive here. If anyone could give me a tip on where to find these for a bargain I would appreciate it. I don’t know if there were any other Bishoujo titles other than Seta’s Real Mahjong, but this is a must have title for me since it also comes with voice samples.

Sure is. Too bad I can't justify spending money buying one when my old PS still works. ^^;
