Michael Jackson is dead

Yes, THE Michael Jackson.
People won’t react to this news the same, foremost depending on their age, I think. I doubt anyone who lived through the 70s or 80s as a teen or young adult can but feel as if he lost a part of his younger years, when hearing such a news.

Well shit… that sucks. At only 50 years? He was just doing concerts a few weeks back. The man was clearly eccentric - and some might say worst - but there was one thing you couldn’t deny: he could write music and he could dance. He literally redefined how people looked at Zombies… and who can forget that impossible Smooth Criminal routine?

My favorite MJ song was Little Susie. It was so hauntingly morbid…

Why do you think you had to be a teen or young adult during this time to feel you have lost part of your younger years? I was only in elementary school during the 80s, and I somewhat feel this way. I have quite vivid memories of his music videos (and Weird Al’s parodies) from that time.

I just liked Thriller.

I wasn’t even born when MJ was at his peak. But I really liked some of his songs. R.I.P MJ
“Beat It”

Hmmm… :? The cause of death’s cardiac arrest right…?

Could it be ~ !?

Yeah, I couldn’t believe this. I remember how big a deal Thriller was when the music video came out.

Whatever else you might say about the guy, he was now and forever the King of Pop.

(and, yes, if you haven’t yet, make a point of going to youtube and watching his Smooth Criminal video: http://www.youtube.com/user/Maehedrose#play/all/favorites-all/1/PmN0dwDR1wo )
